The Hackmobile also features shelving and storage for tools, making it a mobile workshop for woodworking, metalworking and 3D fabrication.

The Hackmobile beat out other competitors in the design challenge, including a toy robot factory for children and a disaster relief vehicle.

The winner is the brainchild of Twin Cities Maker, a nonprofit community organization that operates a shop called the Hack Factory in Minneapolis/St.Paul. Members build projects and hold community classes.
