The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette was not advertised during the 2013 Super Bowl, but it is the focus of a new commercial from Chevrolet. The commercial features the Corvette Stingray, which was introduced at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, on the track.
The ad describes the new Corvette Stingray as the "enemy of the same."
Chevrolet is the official sponsor of the 2013 Super Bowl MVP award. The car will be presented to Flacco by a local Chevrolet dealership that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina, according to GM.
The car will be presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of New Orleans' Banner Chevrolet.
"Banner Chevrolet and the entire city of New Orleans have been through so much since the storm, we felt this was a small gesture to bring the comeback story full circle," said Alan Batey, GM vice president of U.S. sales, service and marketing, in a statement.
"With the Super Bowl in his backyard, we couldn't think of a better guy to have the honor of awarding the MVP with his Corvette Stingray."
Edmunds says: Kudos to Joe Flacco, who gets the Pete Rozelle Trophy and the Corvette Stingray.
