AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — The 2013 Fiat 500e is being promoted through a new social media sweepstakes — but a car isn't part of the giveaway.
Sweepstakes contestants have a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles — an appropriate venue, given that sales of Fiat's first production electric vehicle will begin in California only during the second quarter of next year.
Winners will be selected at random. To enter the contest, visit Fiat's Facebook page and click the "Into the Green" tab. The contest runs through March 15. Entrants may enter only once during three drawing periods, but additional entries will be awarded to those who share the promotion via social media and "have friends enter," Chrysler said in a statement.
Chrysler said prizes include an "up close and personal experience" with the Fiat 500e at one of Fiat's "Into the Green" events. The events are designed to raise awareness about sustainability, according to the automaker.
