It's Not A GMC Denali!
Vehicle
2005 Cadillac SRX AWD 4dr SUV (3.6L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Had 2004 GMC Denali before this I got my 2005 SRX V6 AWD - Likes: ride / drives well, looks great. Dislikes: city mileage is only about 14.5 MPG. I do not like the wide door stills! It's very hard to get into and out of the vehicle without getting dirt on your pants. This is not good! On the first weekend, I washed the vehicle and had a major water leak in the left upper corner of the windshield and ran down onto the dash, nice for new car. But they did fixed it! Why a 3:91-1 final drive (ratio)? RPM is approx. 2,300 - 2,400 at 70 MPH.
Favorite Features
SRX looks and the White Diamond paint job.
Suggested Improvements
Reduce the door stills. But, they can't do it, with re-doing the complete vehicle. So be it! Better gas mileage! Reduce the rear axle gear ratio for the 3:91-to-1.
Great Drive and Performance...But

Many areas of concern. Navigation/Radio/Dic system is a mess. Poor lighting-impossible to control. No compass. Clock-temperature characters are too small. Needs to be completely redsigned. Can't program so that doors won't lock when in gear. Very dangerous. Front seats are very hard and uncomfortable. My passengers share this view. Can't open back window which is a design flaw. Rear hatch door is heavy. Should be able to "pop" it open. Would like to have true keyless entry like Ford products with combination numbers on exterior of car. Car drives and handles very well. If GM fixes the above issues I will trade for another. If not, I will trade for a Ford product this fall.
Favorite Features
The way it performs and drives. Acceptable gas mileage. Built in XM radio.
Suggested Improvements
See my review above. There are a lot of flows in the design of this car that shouldn't be in any car, let alone one with $60+ MSRP. GM execs are not paying attention when these flaws are allowed to to hit the market.

15 months and still Loving It
Vehicle
2005 Cadillac SRX AWD 4dr SUV (3.6L 6cyl 5A)
Review
We've owned our 6-cyl. AWD SRX for 15 months now and absolutely love it. The look and design are real head turners, and the ride and performance are awesome. Some minor glitches had to be fixed inthe first year (software recalls), but mechanically the vehicle has been wonderful, fit and finsh excellent. Best features are the superior ride, tight handling and great ultraview sun roof. Basically its my wife's car, but I love getting to drive it on the weekends.
Favorite Features
Ride and performance, ultra sunroof, good cargo space, zero body roll unlike other SUV's. Performance of a sports sedan with practicality of of an SUV. Love the styling.
Suggested Improvements
Make information controls in radio/info screen simpler.

This vehicle is very comfortable while sporty at the same time. The third row seat and DVD system rocks as my little girl so frequently says. The traction control and stability system is great. I really can't say anything bad....
Favorite Features
Ultra View sunroof, power third row seating and DVD system

The wife and I love this truck. The only thing we think they could have do better on the door interior door panels should have a leather trim or some thing we looked at a inf and a Lexus but not happy with the lack of power. I drive a 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup 1/2 ton hemi and love it as you can see the wife likes power.

Great all around vehicle. Super performance in the wet conditions of the Pacific NW. All wheel drive is able to effectively utilize the 320 HP. Handles and stops excellent. Great utility and use of space, excellent visibility out for rear seat passengers including third row kids seat. Makes the vehicle seem more roomy.
Favorite Features
Sunroof is a hit as well as the terrific magnetic suspension.
Suggested Improvements
Definitely need a more user freindly driving computer. It is very cumbersome to scroll through the menu. I use the avg. and instant MPG info, but my wife always wants it on the time and temp. The time and temp should be seperate, back on the mirror? Need a compas there as well. Wiper stalk NG.

Good vehicle

Review
Good SUV, comparable to my wife's Lexus Rx300. More power, less engine noise, better handling, even more quiet. The additional woodgrain package is a must for appearance...makes it look $1,000 better. Needs the same addition that was placed on the Lexus. A bummper cover in the rear to keep marks off of the top of the bumper. Very good vehicle so far, 2,500 miles.
Favorite Features
Good ride, appearance, power and fairly good gas mileage...lots of room .
Suggested Improvements
Needs a bumper pad over the top of the reap bumper, for protection when you pull things from the rear without lifting them over the rear.

Although it's a large car, I feel like I'm driving a luxury vehicle rather than an SUV. It's a great feeling after 9 years of heavy SUV driving. Cadillac, you did it!
Favorite Features
touch tone control pad.
Suggested Improvements
Add heat tn the second row of seats. Deeper well for legs in third row. Cup holders in second row.

I have to admit that after test driving the Volvo XC90, Lexus RX330, and VW Tourag that I was impressed by the handling and quaility of the SRX. Comparing size, class, and options it is the best in class in my opinion. What's best about the Cadillac SRX is the the price beats the other 3 and the quality doesn't suffer. Finally an American SUV that competes with the others and can hold its ground. If you don't believe take it for a drive and feel the difference.
Favorite Features
Handling and quality of leather used on interior.
Suggested Improvements
Interior ergonomics and design are bland without dealer wood package and navigaton system.

This is the most responsive vehicle I have ever owned. The down side is, if you are not paying attention, you will be doing 80 mph and not know it. The ride is soft, yet sturdy. The steering is crisp and responsive. Gas mileage at 65 mph is in the 20+ mpg. As stated it's to easy to do 80 and that lowers mpg to around 17.5 mpg. Put a pinstripe above door handles and you have a great looking sports car that is tuff to get stuck in the mud or snow.
Favorite Features
Acceleration, quick response, sound system, I have the gps and it is a must, comfort, (I am 6'3" and have plenty of head & leg room), visability.
Suggested Improvements
It is missing some of the regular Cadillc frills, such as telescoping steering wheel, flashing arrows in side mirrors. That is getting pickey. The vehicle is a homerun.
