If you press the button once, the traction control system will turn off and the warning light will go on.     IDonner- I forgot to mention that the chain in the transfercase will be next. All of the jerking that is caused by the stability control lead to the failure of our transfer case.     welcome to the club!!! the only tempoary solution to your problem with the stability control is to push the little button next to the shifter and hold until your screen says the stability control has been turned off. It is important that you hold it down up to 30 seconds. your lucky it is just the turn signal bulb....wait until the actual power unit goes...that will set you back about 250-300.00 ... Read More

    Wow this is ridiculous. This was my first and will definitely be my last Cadillac. Same issue as everyone else. Never had the car pull though. I thought the issue might have been related to my upgrade in over sized rims but now I see that's not the case.

    The 20 inch wheels are a new for 2007 option. The 2004, 2005 and 2006 models only offered 18 inch wheels. I don't know what kind of warranty the wheel dealer included, but these wheels probably could invalidate the Cadillac warranty if they cause any damage to your SRX.

    Just stumbled on this thread - sorry for the delay. We had this problem with our 2004 SRX as well. It was fixed immediately by the folks at Gold Coast Cadillac in Oakhurst, NJ. Problem as I recall was a broken STEERING WHEEL sensor. The sensor detected the steering wheel turning differently than the wheels, so the Stability System engaged.
