Summary
What Edmunds.com says
If you're looking for a top-notch luxury sedan that favors comfort over performance, the Seville is one of the smoothest rides this side of Stuttgart.
Pros
World-class engineering, contemporary styling, smooth V8, superbly equipped.
Cons
History of losing value quicker than rivals, electronic doodads could be costly to repair.
What's New for 2001
Tire-pressure monitoring is now available on the STS, as well as an e-mail-capable Infotainment radio, a hands-free integrated cellular phone, 17-inch chrome wheels and high-intensity discharge headlamps. OnStar in-vehicle safety, security and information service is now standard fare on the STS and available on the SLS. Two new SLS and three STS packages round out the changes.

Good car
Vehicle
2001 Cadillac Seville STS 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Review
This car has a classic look and a great ride. Plenty of room for passengers, and comfortable seats too. My STS is great on slippery roads and in snow. There is virtually no air noise. I now have over 95,000 miles on my car, and I am having a hard time thinking about getting rid of it. It's getting older and the value is going down, but I still love it.
Favorite Features
I really like the Bose sound system, the instant heat from the seats, and my windshield sensor is the greatest.
Suggested Improvements
There is an area between the console and the seats where things fall down into and it's difficult to get them out. Like keys and cell phones etc. I wish the trunk had more room in it.

Review
I purchased this car because of its size. I never realized I would come to love it so much. It's a thrill to drive and more comfortable than you would believe. As with any high end vehicle, repairs and parts are costly, though this vehicle has proven to be so reliable that the need for such is few and far between.

The only thing I don't care much for is the turning radius, it's far too wide. My wife has a 2000 Cadillac Escalade and it turns much tighter than the STS.

It burns to much oil.

2001 Cadillac Seville SLS 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Review
This car has great handling, acceleration, and appearance. I have had to have the battery, a couple of sensors, and the water pump replaced under warranty.
Favorite Features
I like how this car gets a consistent 19 mpg in city, 29 mpg at 70 - 80MPH highway. It has great seats, they are fully adjustable and heated.
Suggested Improvements
Why is battery so special and placed under the back seats?

Superb
Vehicle
2001 Cadillac Seville STS 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Review
This car's exterior's exterior combines the best of European and Japanese design, with the interior luxury and comfort of an American car. It definitely is worth a look if you are interested in a car to enjoy. I look for reasons to drive it.
Favorite Features
The sound system does not get better than what this car has to offer. The wood trim and instument panel are a pleasure.
Suggested Improvements
The automatic seat adjustment to allow you to exit is a little annoying if you like to put your bag behind your seat like I do (it gets stuck). I would love to be able to turn that option off.
