Seville Woes

Review

I've owned 2 Cadillacs so far, and they were absolutely wonderful Automobiles until they hit 70,000 miles, both vehicles disintegrated before my eyes. I have paid more in repairs for the Seville than I paid for it in the first place. In the last year I have had to replace the transmission, water pump, shocks and struts, power window motor, front brake calipers and rotors.

Northstar has tremendous power and acceleration

Suggested Improvements

Quality control is severly distressed at Cadillac, the items that went wrong on both of mine should never have happened. I could almost understand if I drove these cars hard, but thats not the case. I work 6 miles from home and generally the only time we used them was for my work.

This isn't my daddy's caddie!! What a difference a few years make. The car is a lot of fun to drive and I never get tired of it. Who would know that the car can do 0-60 in 7 by just looking at it. I have never timed it myself, but I'm sure it's up there. But with the Northstar, altough performance & design are wonderful, be prepared to spend some money when things do go wrong.

Performance & comfort in on stylish package that can't be beat.

great sercice vehicle. Repairs have been at minimum other thab tires and computer replacement which was under warranty in first 5 years.

Power , Luxury and Reliability

Review

I bought this car used when it had only 44,000 miles on it. It now has about 81,000 miles and the only expenses I have incurred are a battery, tires and a driver's side window motor. All electronics work well. Wow!! the Bose system is fantastic and the gas mileage is incredible 18 around town and 28 on the highway. I would definitely own another.

Favorite Features

The 275 horses from the Northstar system engine / transmission, the great Bose sound system and the great highway ride.

Review

I bought the car used about one and half years ago with 82000 miles now the car has 94000 miles. Use the mostly for long trip since it is more comfortable than my newer cars. It is a used car and I will be getting new brake pads and tires this year.

Acceleration and the smootness of the auto transmission.

Review

After 1 year of ownership, the transmission went twice, the air compressor went, the paint is faded on the roof,hood,and trunk lid,the engine leaks oil and ruined my driveway. The interior is coming apart. The seat has split,I had the console recovered, the headliner wrinkled and I had that repaired,now th door panels are coming apart and they need to be repaired. When I contacted the Cadillac factory rep. he told me to bad it's a used car. I will never purchase a General Motors product ever again.

Favorite Features

The car rides nice and it is very responsive. I love the way it handles,but the quality of this car is awful,especially being a cadillac. I've seen better Yugo's.

Suggested Improvements

Take a hard look at their quality control department. The interior is a mess. The motor so far is good except for the persistent leaking of oil. They want over 1,000.00 to repair it. Thats too expensive, I have to live with it.
