Re: 2008 Escalade [jbratx]
Dealers have just started to get the 2008s but my dealer told me they are "keeping them in the back since they still have a lot of 2007s to sell". I talked to a Cadillac rep and was told that the first build date for the 2008s was 6/26/07 for the Arlington Texas plant. The 2008s are coming out somewhat early since the 2007 model year was longer then normal. However, it ... Read More...

Re: GM Quality? What Quality?. [mediapusher]
Seats with support are not uncomfortable to us that dont have butts as wide as a double door entry to a house. I think you have it just backward. The hard cardboard seats they are pushing off as sporty are built for our average citizen that has a fat cushy posterior. A fat rear end has its own built-in padding. Cadillac built its reputation on plush cars with plush seats. ... Read More...
Re: History gives us a clue [gagrice]
Rocky, My wife does not like the angular lines on the Cadillacs. I guess it appeals to a younger crowd. I drove the 2007 Escalade which was very nice. Except the seats are so much harder than the 2006 and older models. The one I drove was near $70k and the 2006 with 21k miles was $40k. Too big of a hit for me to accept. That is what I am seeing with all the big luxury SUVs. Including ... Read More...
Re: History gives us a clue [kratas101]
That is the factory standard warranty. I would assume the Certified 6 & 100k is some extended warranty. The salesman was very proud of the fact that it was B to B with no deductible. I am sure that was from original date of sale. Rocky, My wife does not like the angular lines on the Cadillacs. I guess it appeals to a younger crowd. I drove the 2007 Escalade which was very ... I didn't say that, you said that...and if that's the case why do you buy the following vehicles listed below. Many of them are either made in Canada or Mexico, not the U.S.A.: The following vehicles are Made in Canada: Buick Lacrosse, Acura MDX Chevrolet Impala, Honda Civic* Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Honda Pilot* Chevrolet Silverado*, Honda Ridgeline Chrysler ... Re: Well, IMO [62vetteefp]
Let me ask you a question. Is Cadillac getting a lot of complaints about the harder seats in the 2007 Escalade? Both the SRX and Escalade seemed a lot harder than the previous model Escalade. Will they offer a more conventional seating option? Read More...
Are the 2007 models as good as the 2006?
I just went in to my local Cadillac dealer. Real nice salesman. Went through all the finer points of the SRX and Escalade. I am in agreement with several owners of the new Escalade. The seats are TOO hard. The 2007 Escalade has some great features and drives like a dream car. The SRX has the neatest moonroof. Opens up way back. The SRX felt a bit cramped to me. Not what ...
