I have only heard of this problem with the Escalade and not from other luxury lines...I realize that no car/suv is perfect but for 60k and up GM needs to come through for it's buyers. I wanted an 08 Escalade, but the more I research the more afraid I am to get one. Read More...

Still and all, the Mark LT is dead. No 08. No plans for a replacement. It may have a "presence" due to the added chrome, but this was a blatant example of badge engineering. No body panel variations at all. It was at best a trim level of the F150 (not a bad thing as that is a good looking truck). Having read Michael Jordan's review of the Mark LT and the Escalade EXT, my guess is that he'd never been behind the wheel of a truck before reviewing these two. Talk about comparing apples and oranges... these trucks are $12210 apart in base price; of course the Caddy's going to win out. That's not exactly rocket science. I own the 2007 GMC Sierra Denali which has the same engine (6.2L 403hp), but is lighter than all of the Escalades. I normally drive like a Grandpa, but I do get on the accelerator hard off the line at least a couple of times a day. All of my driving is in town and I get about 10.6 mpg on premium. I've tried regular and the truck runs poorly, so I use premium only. Read More...

Hi What are these trucks missing? A Truck in such a prestiges class, price range, and quality should have a POWERED HARD TONNEAU COVER. The luxury should not stop at the tonneau cover. Everything else is powered. Such a feature should be an option, or better a standard. Such a system available for the EXT. Auto-Covers show a system on their website that has everything ... I have an early 2007 escalade and had to recently get new key fobs. When they were re-programmed the flash to pass would not work during the day when the headlight switch was set to off or auto. Cadillac says that the new ones are like this and that is the way it should have been. I know of no other cars that operate like this Read More...

According to the Cadillac website, a three piece lockable (and removable) tonneau cover is standard equipment. I am not totally sure how the mid gate works, but I would think that one could stow the mid gate and then also lock the tonneau cover along with the rest of the truck. Thoughts? Read More...
