    Hi..I'm not sure about the 09 Escalades, but I have a 2007 Escalade ESV and it does not have an AUX jack for the IPod. However, my Escalade has the factory DVD system and I use the RCA jacks in the rear console to play my IPod and it works great. Not sure why Cadillac didn't put an AUX jack on the radio panel.

    This is a known problem with the 07 models. Here is a link to a Caddy Owners web-site that discusses this issue. Mine doesn't have it, but it has to due with improper door alignment.     "I agree GM could do better in their Cadillac interiors......the XLR in particular the interior is dissapointing. " The XLR needs to be updated as does the STS to some degree. I like the CTS, DTS, Escalade and SRX interiors. They are very competitive with anything from MB or Lexus. The 2007 refresh of the SRX interior took it from worst in class to one of the best.

    I have only heard of this problem with the Escalade and not from other luxury lines...I realize that no car/suv is perfect but for 60k and up GM needs to come through for it's buyers. I wanted an 08 Escalade, but the more I research the more afraid I am to get one.

    I have an early 2007 escalade and had to recently get new key fobs. When they were re-programmed the flash to pass would not work during the day when the headlight switch was set to off or auto. Cadillac says that the new ones are like this and that is the way it should have been. I know of no other cars that operate like this

    According to the Cadillac website, a three piece lockable (and removable) tonneau cover is standard equipment. I am not totally sure how the mid gate works, but I would think that one could stow the mid gate and then also lock the tonneau cover along with the rest of the truck. Thoughts?

    My 2007 Escalade doesn't have the vibration problems with 22" wheels but it does have the hesitation. Not that it helps much, but my Mercedes had the same issue and so do a lot of other luxury vehicles including Infinity and Lexus.     Hi Car Man. I'm interested in a low mileage (10,000 mile) 2-year lease for a 2007 2WD Cadillac Escalade. What is the resdiual rate, money factor, and the GMAC bank fee for this month? GM says $1500 cash incentive, what does this translate for a lease? Is there any other incentives relating the Presidents Day sale?

    I am on your team. If you find a contact let me no and I will also contact. Please post what you find out. I was told be a service underwriter sometimes this is called a "drive wire" issue. A hesitation. There is no throttle cable and the computer controls everything. To me it is like the vehicle "chokes" when you give it the gas and then finally responds.

    I think that the SRX makes more sense than the Escalade. The Escalade is more or less the same as the GMC Denali. The SRX is all Cadillac, but perhaps a bit smaller than most would want. There seem to be more 2007 program Escalades than 2006's.

    The phantom wipe does have a fix.     all LED marker/tail lights I was behind an '07 at a traffic light and noticed that the trademark Cadillac high-center stoplight that runs the width of the top of the rear end was only 30% functional. Only the middle 30% of the light actually had functioning LEDs in it. The rest of the light didn't light up. Was this particular Escalade defective or is this how it is designed?

    I just took mine to the dealer last week. I got the phantom wipe fixed on the auto wipers. They updated the Engine computer with newer code. Did not help..in fact.. I think it is a little worse. With the A/C on, half throttle of the line will cause very noticable hesitation. I am trying to be patient since this is a new engine/tranny combo, but doesn't GM road test these ... Read More

    Greg, Put them on last night. Comes with instructions, and screws, etc. Took a small socket wrench, phillips, and a drill to add a couple of holes in the plastic. About 40 minutes work all around. I do know the dealer will install these as well, and will actually provide a warranty. Don't know the labor cost, but I imagine at least 2 "book" hours.     Interesting evaluation. I sat in an Escalade at a dealership but did not drive it. I agree with your observation about lack of side bolstering on the driver's seat.
