1995 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe Touring 2dr Coupe

Review

I own one and it's a blast to own. My mileage exceeds the amount posted. The NORTHSTAR engine runs like new and had over 330,000 miles! The dealer said it's like new, no leaks, no reduced compression, no mechanical issues at all. The body is in original condition and has few beginning rust spots. This is also a show car with the Cadillac auto club. I won 1st place in my class. It shows how well Cadillac ETC w/NORTHSTAR engine ages. It is truly a great car, low maintenance, high pleasure that eats the road a true touring coupe. An ekegant, ageless, high performance car with the heart of a sports car, but better.

1995 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe Touring 2dr Coupe

Review

Very well built car. Almost 15 years old with no rust, clean leather, no tears. Drives well, handles well. Poor fuel mileage, and expensive to run premium fuel. Perfect example of a high quality American automobile. Northstar engine is amazing!!

Best Features

Comfort, style inside and out.

Worst Features

Better fuel efficiency.

Review

Very sporty, easy to pass just about anything on the highway. There is quite a bit of torque steer when you gun it from a dead stop, but in accelerating into a turn, or from a rolling start it holds up quite well. The interior is leather everything, a higher quality i'd say than even the newer CTS models which use cheap plastics. It does guzzle gas, and runs premium, but with cruise control on over the highway it will average 26 mpg, astonishing for such a large car. Although it is large, heavy and not exceptionally low to the ground, it corners with very little body roll, feels stanced and planted well. It's as comfortable at 140 as it is at 65, tho you'll be getting 5mpg or less.

Best Features

Lots of real leather Plenty of power Sounds like a real sports car Always classy Comments of "Now that's a real car" Destroys little ricer imports Face bending air conditioning

Worst Features

If it was a bit more sleek and aerodynamic, and used lighter metals it would improve the MPG and proformance tremendously. Would be beautiful as a RWD. 5 speed instead of 4 with automanual, 6 for the xlr made one too many, always up and downshifting. The AC and display buttons are too cluttered.

Review

I own the 1995 model and it has been running great. Because of old age, however, I had to replace radiator due to cracking on the plastic pieces. As this car gets older, I am sure I will have to replace some other plastic dry rotted parts. But other than the shocks and struts, road sensing suspension going bad, it has been a great car. Even if it gets 18 to 19 MPG. If you do replace parts, and you are going to keep the car till its eventual total failure, just make sure you buy quality automotive parts--don't go cheap.

Best Features

Front, heated leather seats. A lot of power and torque available on a moment's notice. Very smooth ride. Paint is excellent quality and shines like it was new after a good polish application.

Worst Features

Not applicable, since Cadillac no longer makes this car.
