I appreciate your comments. It is really tough to get rid of my SLE with less than 100 miles on it but my wife likes it and since she is a realtor and spends $50 everytime she fills up her Avalanche she plans on driving it. I bought a 2006 Camry Solara SLE Convertible the other day and am not at all impressed with the ride. The car bounces quite a bit over city streets and yet the car writers praised the "smooth ride". Try and get one under 4 years old and 50k mileage so you will get a break on an extended warranty. I wouldn't dream of having any car without a 100,000 miles 0 deductible 6 year warranty especially a Cadillac. When the warranty is gone so is the car. A few years ago there seemed to be a lot of postings on this list so what has changed? I rode around the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex in a buddy's 2003 CTS - Cadillac's "best seller". I have a 2001 Malibu which rides better, has a bigger trunk opening, has nicer door panels, has a much better stereo (he doesn't have the Bose), and has a better back seat. I also have a Deville ... I currently own a 1998 Deville with 35,000 miles. I generally trade cars when they get up around 50,000 miles. Am considering a Jaguar Sedan for my next car. Brake Problems

I have had a recurring problem with my 2001 Deville. It usually occurs in the morning. Applying brake pressure while backing-up creates a a loud noise almost like a fog horn. In May I was told Cadillac had issued a service bulletin. This fix lasted about 6 weeks and the problem returned. The service manager said he noticed that some of the Armoral that I used on the ... The Demographics have gone down tremendosly since Caddy introduced the new Deville. The alternator has been making strange sounds in my 1998 Cadillac Deville. Dealer says a bearing is worn out and the alternator needs to be replaced. About the Devilles...my 2001 Deville is one of the best vehicles I've ever driven. I've had it since May with no problems at all. Long-term....the Newest Northstar engines are made to last. Other Cadillac owners have said this is best Deville yet. Good luck. Read More...
