Very good car, purchased new.just sold
it at 80,000 mile.Car has classy
appeal, secure ride. did have to
replace alternator at 70,000 miles.
On 3 occassions after driving in
summer with A/C going , car unexpectly
cut of while slowing down vehicle .
First occurance in 98, and twice this
year. Service could never duplicate
problem. In spite of this I
Personally like this car better than
the recently purchased 2004 Model.
automatic brake release, and trunk
closer. Heated lumbar seat, controls
on steering column.
Dent resistant door panels, got
freguent door nicks in parking lots,
also better debris resistant glass in
windshield, twice on hwy, rocks
A really nice car even though it does
not leave you feeling warm and fuzzy
with the "service engine soon" light
on, all of the time. I would not buy
this car new but as a used vehicle, not
bad. Tremendous highway vehicle. Great
around town for a big car. Headlight
problems after car wash ( what about
the rain?). I like it but this car
needs kid glove treatment to last. Not
a car to throw into corners at 100 mph.
Actually mine says "fuel cutoff" at 112
mph. Oh well, so much for the open
highway. I would buy another one.
Steering wheel controls. Leather.
Tighter suspension, CD (to play not a
bank CD to pay repairs), stronger seat
design, higher top speed.
BOUGHT USED IN 2002 I HAVE NOT HAD ANY
MAJOR PROBLEMS AS OF YET. HAD TO
REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR AND HAVE PUT
OVER 31.000 MILES ON IT IN 2 AND HALF
YEARS. DROVE TO TEXAS FROM OHIO TWICE
AND ONCE TO SOUTH CAROLINA.
COMFORTABLE AND FUN TO DRIVE
Cadillac has a long way to go to be
considered in the same class as
European automobiles. The soft ride
and mediocre handling, although
improved, do not bode well for Cadillac
to seriously compete with other luxury
marques. Dealers do not seem very
helpful, which is unfortunate, since
I've spent quite a bit of time there.
Excellent features and standard
equipment for the money.
Overall build quality must be upgraded,
and parts/service prices lowered
somewhat as resale value is terrible.
