Review

We have had a great experience overall with this car. It rides great, excellent road car, comfortable, very clean, only one very slight scratch. We have moved to city and wife is not comfortable driving it in close quarters. Currently is in need of an alternator. This is the only real trouble we have had with it. We recently replaced brakes and roters.

Favorite Features

Large, roomy, super comfortable on vacations and interstate driving. It gets 25 mpg on highway.

Suggested Improvements

Give it a more reliable alternator, which I will be replacing soon.

Northstar meets spacious luxury

Review

Some might consider the 1996 Cadillac DeVille too large, or a "gas hog," however the true enjoyment is experienced when making a statement driving down the road in superior comfort knowing you could "trash" 95% of the competition in acceleration and comfort. this car is one of America's finest.

Favorite Features

The memory seats, lamp monitors, ECC, the only "limp home" system on the market, and exceptional acceleration

Suggested Improvements

The gas mileage is very low about 15 mpg or so, but it is an appropraite tradeoff for all the power!

Wow what power and ride is the best on the open road 32 vavle Northstar gets 17 in the city and 26 on the highway average. Best Caddy ever built.

The power of a muscle car and te ride and comfort of a true luxury vechile

this is my favourite vehicle i've ever had it drives so smoothly i commute 50 mile a day and love every minute

my favourite feature is it's a drivers car everything is easy to use and the family is just as content as i am when we travel.

Review

The Deville is a great car. The performance is excellent and there is plenty of legroom. I bought it used with 46k on the odometer and not a scratch on it. The Northstar has more than enough power to get you to hi-way speed quickly. The seats are very supportive. The dash display gives all the information anyone could need on the car's status. Mine has the semi- convertible top and Cadillac chrome wheels. Cadillac for life.

Favorite Features

Seat heaters and the Northstar engine.

Suggested Improvements

The suspension is a little too soft. But if you want good cornering buy a Viper. Cadi's are made for cruisin'.

Review

The 1996 DeVille is a fabulous machine! With the introduction of the Northstar powerplant, it really moves. Quite impressed with the 275hp and 300 lbs-ft torque. The interior is well appointed and very comfortable. Having the computer monitor all important functions is a great asset. I look forward to many more Cadillacs with the quality of this one!

Review

I just purchased my 96 DEVILLE. She runs smooth, quiet, and stays where you put her. She hugs the road and loves to run. Very comfy, lots of room, lots of neat toys, potent little V8, every operation goes without notice.

Favorite Features

Everything. Stereo blows your ears off, engine can really smoke the front tires, and the classic clean and elegant lines are beautifull.

Suggested Improvements

Gas pedal could be stiffer, right now I cant feel it when I push down and that has costed me some money in tire replacement!!

love the engine but does use oil. drives like a sports car. Have replaced the middle arm rest twice in 6 years and needs it again. ac is slow to come on and still is on new models. Have slso replaced all 4 struts after 4 yrs-and that aint cheap!! love the rain sensor wipers .have owned this car 6 years and will probably get another new one soon but will miss the roomieness of the older models.

rain sensors wipers,12 disc cd changer, space, and power in engine.

The car is a very good car. The only down fall is that everything you do to it is expensive. All the parts you replace will cost you some money.

Review

Been very comfortable; windshield replaced from rock damage in 1998. air conditioner repaired in 1999. Ex gas recycle valve replaced in 2003. Brake rotors were resurfaced in 2000. Routine maintenance been performed at dealership and on schedule.

Tilt steering wheel and all electric seat adjustment

A trash receptacle on front passenger door and a dash hole to hold a cell phone much like is on some vehicles for the garage door opener. remote lock/unlock has to have batteries replaced too often.
