Recently I tried to jump start my another car from the battery of my '95 Caddy. It appeared the battery died. I bought a new battery and now when I turn the ignition...NOTHING!! She just sits there. I have a 1995 cadillac sedan deville, my AC does not blow, it says ac compressor off and very low refrigerant, but I have had refrigerant put in the car. My mechanic told me it was an electrical probelm, if I hold this peice down the air will blow but it's not cold, and when I let this peice go it stops blowing all together. This is what I know: the new DTS is sharing with the new Lucerne. Both have the same basic body. The wheelbase on the new DTS is slightly longer than last years DeVille, so the body has been updated or re-engineered. However, the body is basically the 1995 Aurora body design. I have a 1995 Deville that I purchased in 2000. The driver side heater has always blown cool air. My mechanic says this is an engineering screw up, and car probably came off the assembly line with this problem. He said General Motors suggested a fix. He needs to buy the factory workshop manual to tackle a job like that. He'll regret it if he doesn't get the info directly from the factory manual. It'll tell him where all the hidden bolts and clips and more important the sequence of removal. It's a pretty big job, you don't want to go into it blind. Read More...
