Review

I purchased my 1992 Cadillac DeVille on a lark in 1995 without research and was expecting to suffer from my rashness. However, this car has been a dream. It is attractive, classy, extremely comfortable, steady on the road and safe. I've had two accidents, one nearly totally the car, with no injuries (thank God). Regarding gas milage, thanks to the computer, I can monitor my driving style and easily get 21 mpg city - better than many new cars on the market. At 191,000 miles, the motor is in excellent shape with mainly routine maintenance for the 10 years I have owned the car. I want a new car now, but each time I look and compare it with what I have, and car payments, I just keep driving.

Favorite Features

The system computer, adjustable leather seats, feeling of security, gigantic trunk, back seat leg room, weight - holds the road, powerful engine, stylish, and durable. At 100,000 miles, this car was very young.

Suggested Improvements

This is an old model, the new models are surely already improved. My problems are with the heat, trunk release, antenna and radio.

Love my Cadillac

My Cadillac Coupe DeVille has just over 100,000 miles on it now. It is still gorgeous, powerful, comfortable, and still turns heads. It is Cotillion White with a matching white top and white leather interior. My car has always been a pleasure to drive. It rides exceptionally well and has always been soft and very quiet. I have had Very limited problems with the car. I plan on keeping it at least five more years, it is still like new in every way. Other drivers are shocked to find out that it is 13 years old. I cannot say enough about the exceptional ride of this car. It feels as though it is floating above the road, there is nothing harsh about the ride.

Favorite Features

The comfortable, spacious seating, elegant good looking exterior, and exceptional ride - smooth, floaty and very quiet. This car is very powerful, passes other cars with great ease. It also handles well, having a solid and heavy feeling. It inspires confidence while driving, even at high speeds in heavy traffic.

Suggested Improvements

The exhaust could have been designed to be quieter. The engine has tendency to sound "throaty" under hard accleration.

Review

This car has great performance with 4.9 liter engine. It is fun to drive and much more comfortable ride than a Mustang GT. It has a smooth transmission and braking system. Its sporty convertible looking top and special wheels set this model apart.

Favorite Features

Auto headlights and great acceleration in a comfortable ride.

Suggested Improvements

Bring back the Coupe DeVille. The new Cadillacs are down-right UGLY! Would not be seen driving one of these new body styles.

Classic Caddy Style

This car has been very good to me in the 2 years I have owned it. Besides the normal repairs needed with this car (truck latch, power antenna, brakes, master cylinder, tune up etc.) it has been very reliable. As long as it is maintained, it will last a long time. My car has made the cross country trip more then once, and is still running strong at 160,000 miles. I still get many compliments on it today.

Favorite Features

Interior space is better then the new DeVille's of today. Can seat 5 adults very well. Power is still great, and will pull your head back into the seat at take off.

Suggested Improvements

Tough to suggest since most of the new Caddy's today have finally addressed all of the old Caddy issues. America can finally compete with the imports.

Non smokers, empty nesters. Purchased our Caddy used from a local dealer in 1996. Used by myself a self-employed home business owner. Gently driven and well maintained. Dark Blue leather interior with no signs of wear on passenger and rear seats. Drivers seat has slight normal leather wear. All electronic's windows, seats, ect. work like new. New antenna just installed, raises and lowers from control panel. Car is exceptionally clean inside and out. Mechanically sound and reliable.

Favorite Features

You can't beat the classic, elegant look of a clean white Caddy. Love the ride, the leather interior, and the dependability of starting up in all weather conditions.

Suggested Improvements

The air conditioner isn't working. Other than that it's ready to go and nothing needs to be done.

I inherited this from my late father- in-law. At first, I thought it was too big and that it would be costly to operate. I have been pleasantly surprised at the few repairs it has needed (brakes, thermostat, electric motor on power antenna and trunk lock; excellent gas mileage (20 mpg in the summer; but drops to 17 mpg with the heat on). Excellent traction on ice and snow. Still a smooth ride at 83,000 miles.

Review

Overall car performance, quality, and value rates excellent. Rear-seat leg room is a definite plus, making long trips with four passengers very comfortable. This is a great touring car. Repair and maintenance cost is fairly high, but frequency of repairs is low due to high reliability. If you are considering a fully equipped lower- end car, note that by the time you add all the options this car has standard onto a lower-end car, the price will be the same and you will not have a Cadillac.

Favorite Features

* Room - front, rear, and trunk. * Performance - quick and fast, with reasonable mileage. * Quality - build and finish. Interior, exterior and mechanical. Cadillac still does it best for a domestic sedan.

Review

I bought the DeVille in 1999. It was 7 years old when purchased. The brakes, spark plugs and waterpump had to be replaced within the first 6 months. That's been 3 years ago. Other than oil changes every 3000 miles, the car has not cost me another dime and is a pure pleasure to drive.

Favorite Features

Real time gas mileage indication, comfortable ride, stereo system and more than adequate luggage space in trunk.

Caddies Rule!

Review

This is my second Cadillac DeVille. My first one had 25x,000 miles on it, and things just started going out with it, so I sold it to the JUNK YARD. As it turns out, a young kid bought it and fixed the few things and is still driving it. WOW--what a car. BUT ON TO THIS CAR: it drives excellent so far, just like new. It has awesome acceleration. It realllly gets up and goes. I have yet to see a faster car!! I owned a newer Lincoln, but things go bad with those darn Ford products, so I went back to Caddy. Get many, many compliments on it. Very well-taken care of. Caddy owners are great!

Favorite Features

Nice leather seats; excellent cruise at 75 MPH. Awesome V8 power!

Suggested Improvements

Can't really improve on this car, because newer models have been released, but I would say...hmm....NOTHING; this car is really great.
