2010 Cadillac CTS Sedan Luxury 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 6M)

Review

i can see why the CTS was "motor trends" car of the year for 2008. i've owned mine for about 3 months and have 2500 miles on the odo. so far the car has exceeded my expectations. the 6 speed automatic is silky smooth with the 3.0 liter producing plenty of power - acceleration is quick and smooth. the ride is a bit stiffer than my 2004 Chrysler Concorde limited but yet smooth and controlled. i like the ride and appreciate the quietness. the exterior and interior styling and workmanship are superior - just what a Cadillac should be. the variable assist power steering is spot on. and it's nice to get back to a rear wheel drive after several decades of front wheel drive. so far so good!

Best Features

steering, rear wheel drive, engine power, xm radio, option to set transmission to normal or sport mode. informative and well executed instrumentation, overall interior comfort, design and styling. exterior styling and color (radiant silver). smooth and quiet ride, wheels. and just plain fun to drive

Worst Features

softer seats ,easier access to oil dip stick. a remote opener with more range - i can unlock my Concorde from a football field away, need to be much closer to open my CTS. cabin air filter should be std on all trims, as well as fog lights, HID lamps and spare tire - after all it's a Cadillac!

Very smooth and quiet ride. My son loves the ventilation in the back and perfect acceleration. Very tough built. Don't look at acuras Lexus or Toyota get the Cadillac cts you will be impressed on a test drive. Doing real estate some of my client have made great compliments on their cts. Drive one.

Best Features

surround sound and it all varies

Review

Just traded a very troublesome 08 for 2010 CTS. Car is identical inside and out except for a few glitches. Driver auto seat movement doesn't work unless Driver 2 button is clicked each time, to move seat back. To move forward, must click Driver 1 button. Doors automatically lock, cannot open, with motor running, except to click Unlock feature.

Best Features

Exterior appearance, although 3 years of the same thing is too much. Like the choice of interior colors in 2010. I now have black and shell in red car. Steering wheel and gear shift are upgraded.

Worst Features

Time for an exterior design change. Feel like I'm driving same '08. Move interior Trunk Opener button to more visible and handy place, to the dashboard. No one but owner can find it on the bottom of the armrest. Widen storage space on doors one inch, add more to glove compartment & dash cubbyhole

2010 Cadillac CTS Sedan Luxury 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 6M)

Review

I selected the CTS for my first high end car. Born in the 60's, I can easily remember the days when Cadillac & Lincoln dominated the luxury market. So I was excited; not just to finally have a Cadillac of my own, but one with modern styling, excellent fit & finish, and outstanding performance. As they say, it's not your Dad's Cadillac. I love the feedback I get through the tranny - whether the automatic or manual mode. Excellent balance struck between quiet ride and performance suspension. Handles the corners quite well, but road noise you typically get with such a car is absent - enough for passengers to comment on the quiet cabin. Acceleration is more than competent.

Best Features

Bluetooth link to phone works very well. I like that the iPod port is located in the center console and not the dash. Bose Speakers! Dash laid out well w/ analog and digital speedo. Competition mode for Stabilitrak and tranny are cool. Edmunds mentions awkward driving position - seems fine to me

Worst Features

Wish tilt steering had a little more range. Back seat okay for kids or short people. Not going to happen for those 6ft and more. (but I guess that's why they have the STS or DTS)
