Inside Line 2008 Cadillac CTS First Drive, Full Test and Long Term

'08 CTS vs Infiniti G35

I'm leaning toward buying a CTS and decided I needed to test drive the G35 before making a decision. There are clearly some advantages to the G35, most especially the $7000 price difference in the G35's favor. Styling wise, I think the CTS wins, at least for me. It felt more unique and had an agressive feel that just says "Get outta my way!" Second the G's tiny (by comparison) ... Read More...

Article Comments - Cadillac V-Series: V for Vexation

Good luck to Cadillac

Personally, i think V series is a nice thought. But here is the problem. No matter how powerful the cars are, when people spend that kind of money, absolute performance is not the only criteria as there is the prestige and snob factor. GM makes Cadillacs, as well as Chevy, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, GMC, Buick, Saturns. Mercedes makes nothing except Benz, BMW makes ... Read More...

Re: Bluetooth is coming [knotem]

I emailed Cadillac about Bluetooth and was told it would be available on their 2009 models. This alone will keep me from buying a new CTS. Once you have had a car with Bluetooth it is hard to go backwards!! It is surprising that Cadillac would introduce a car of this caliber without Bluetooth. It is not that new of a feature on luxury automobiles. Read More...

Re: knotem [marsha7]

“Early 2009 Models” Is that including an early 09 CTS with a fix for the existing sunroof cover, or a conventional sunroof that covers the sun 100%, when it’s not need it, which will meet loyal Cadillac customer’s expectation? Read More...

Re: daaavid [pucks]

Sunroof issue: The sunroof, the glass part, is fine -- probably bigger than most people want, but even if it is the "focus group" ideal size, the fact that it cannot be fully blocked is an issue and the cheap gauze or cheesecloth like covering is another. To add, for some, insult to injury, you cannot delete the sunroof without spending MORE money. The bundling of ... Read More...

diesel power

This is what the new diesel will be when it arrives around 2010. The 2008 Cadillac CTS had its world debut at the Detroit show in January, but Cadillac saved the news of a new diesel engine for the CTS for the Geneva show. The new engine is a 2.9-liter V-6 turbodiesel with state-of-the-art emissions technology, GM said in a release. The diesel is destined mainly for ... Read More...

Re: When? [150mphclub]

Yep..... ;) What's going to be even more impressive is when you see the 2009' CTS-V out run C5 Corvette's Z0-6's and just maybe a C6 Vette ;) It will be worth watching what the 0-60 and quarter mile times will be on the 09 "V". Some say 515 hp. Some say 550 hp. and a lot say 600 hp. I am hoping it will be 600 hp. as that would be such a awesome number in a sedan, let alone a Cadillac. ... Read More...

2009 diesel CTS???

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,21392627-5012441,00.html "He says it will be in the 2009 Cadillac CTS, which is almost certain for Australia as Holden looks to boost its prestige business with Cadillac and Hummer. The diesel is a 2.9-litre four-valve V6 turbo-diesel with 184kW and 550Nm. " Perhaps in the USofA also? Read More...
