    Search Google for Cadillac CTS Service Bulletin or TSB. I believe it only applies to 2007 and earlier but not sure. Contact your local dealer also. Check your oil about 30 minutes after going for a drive then let the car sit a couple days and check it again on a cold engine. See if the level is the same.     I have a 2007 and it started doing the same thing after about 25K miles. Two things going on. 1) There is a software update for the Transmission Control Module (TCM) that should be applied. If that doesn't fix it, then go to 2) Replace the torque converter. There is a TSB out there regarding this issue. Most likely, the torque converter will need to be replaced.

    They ran me around on my 2006 and never fixed it. It was leased and I turned it in. On my 2007 they said it was either the ABS antilock unit or the wheel spin sensor.     They never fixed my 2006 and the lease ended but they did fix my 2007 after they had it a second time, the first saying the brakes were fine.     Both of my 2004 + 2007 CTS did improve highway MPG by about 2 MPG after about 5,000 miles. I don't see any way for merely breaking in to increase around 10 mpg. If your commute has lights and stop and go, the avg mpg means very little. The highway run on instant means more right now and may be your best way to convince your service there is a problem. ...     Here's some recall info for the CTS owners out there...I'm glad no pictures were on the site! General Motors has announced the recall of 276,000 vehicles. The recall is due to a faulty pinion seal, which can cause fluid leaks. The recall affects the 2005-07 Cadillac CTS, CTS-V, SRX, STS and STS-V; 2006-07 Pontiac Solstice; and 2007 Saturn Sky.     i got a similar deal but it was brand new with 6 miles on it with msrp of $31605 before all the rebates. i paid $2800 due at lease signing with 38 more payments of $263 + tax = $287 per month. i spoke with 5 different dealers in philly area and finally found one that made this deal. i love the car. goodluck.
