I had a 2006 cts and when it got to about 28,000 miles off and on when I turned into a parking spot and put on the brakes it would make a grinding feel and would be hard to stop. RECENTLY I PURCHASED A 2006 CADILLAC CTS FOR MY WIFE. THE CAR IS VERY WELL PRESERVED AND HAS 66,000 MILES. THERE ARE TWO ISSUES THAT CONCERN ME. ONE IS THE INFO PANEL WARNING ABOUT THE DURABRAND TRANSMISSION @69%. I had a 2004 CTS and a 2006 STS, both with the 3.6L V6 and thought both performed well and had good gas mileage. I have been buying new GM cars for almost fifty years, both front-wheel and rear-wheel drive. I don't ever remember hearing any gear-train noise. This a first-time Cadillac. This car , european in aproach still has an american muscle herritage (Corvette engine) go Caddy go ! I'm great enthusiast of CTS and XLR design ... I have a Cadillac 2006 CTS 2.8L V6 . It has 35,184 miles. The Dealer qouted me $615 to replace front brake pads and rotors. I called around other Brake shops like Tire Kingdom and they qouted me $354. Should I trust that Tire Kingdom qouted me the right parts for my vehicle and that they would be just as good as the dealer parts? I priced the brake pads and rotors from the ... Read More...

hello, there is nothing wrong with the cts, I have a 2006 I have owned it for 1 year and 7 months! the problem I did run into were bad vibrations as a result of the tires! there is a bulletin out on the good year tires they put on the cts! I have had the tires replaced a couple of times after arguing with cadillac and the dealership for about a month or so I requested a different ... Read More...

Here's some recall info for the CTS owners out there...I'm glad no pictures were on the site! General Motors has announced the recall of 276,000 vehicles. The recall is due to a faulty pinion seal, which can cause fluid leaks. The recall affects the 2005-07 Cadillac CTS, CTS-V, SRX, STS and STS-V; 2006-07 Pontiac Solstice; and 2007 Saturn Sky.
