Shared 3.6 engine in lowlife Pontiac!!!!

Yesterday, I made a bid on a used 2008 Pontiac G6 GXP w/16k mi to a dealer in central Florida.. I see it uses the same 3.6 engine as the base Model CTS..The G6 Pontiac is no dream, but the GXP is equipped nicely with leather, sunroof, and other goodies..My bid was safe and their asking price was way too high, and they countered, but still way off..They have my number ... Hello I am a newby to this forum. I googled Escalade engine oil pressure low indicator problems and this forum came up. I purchased "gently used" ( I was told) a 2005 Escalade ESV less than a year ago from Lithia Chevrolet. About 90 days after the purchase the Oil pressure low indicator and alarm started going off. Oil Consumption Cause Finally Found?

I was out on another Cadillac forum and I read a posting from a guy who has a 2005 CTS that was burning a couple of quarts every 1000 miles or so. This guy obviously knows something about cars because he made a modification to his PCV vacuum tube (don't ask me to explain what he did), and apparently the engine no longer drinks oil. So I had the same issue with my 2005 CTS and found a fix. Go to the dealer and state that your cadillac is burning through oil at an unreasonable rate. They will ask you to do an oil consumption test, which consists of paying for a new oil change ($90) and then coming back in 1500 miles to see how much oil has been consumed. As far as its current lease program goes, if you were to lease a 2006 Cadillac CTS 3.6L through GMAC right now for 36 months with 15,000 miles per year, its base lease rate and residual value should be 3.95% and ...
