  • Oil Consumption Cause Finally Found?

I was out on another Cadillac forum and I read a posting from a guy who has a 2005 CTS that was burning a couple of quarts every 1000 miles or so. This guy obviously knows something about cars because he made a modification to his PCV vacuum tube (don't ask me to explain what he did), and apparently the engine no longer drinks oil. I think the CTS was omitted primarily because of the 3.2L V6 engine the manual version of the 2003-04 CTS is paired with. It's an engine that's been tested before, and offers nothing new to the comparison equation. Rather than have it finish midpack, C&D or Cadillac probably elected to wait until later this year when the 3.6L V6 gets a manual transmission.
