| Acceleration comments | Impossible to select a consistent engine speed for launch with wildly erratic electronic throttle calibration. Pedal position and engine speed seem virtually unrelated in this car before the clutch is engaged. Also, hard to produce consistent accel runs. Times dropped until run four, then began to slow dramatically. Shifter rejects quick gearchanges at high engine speeds. Clutch effort changes at high engine speeds. Sounds like a mess, but it drives well until you ask for 10/10ths acceleration. |

| Handling comments | Skid pad: Very good balance and communication as limits approach. Steering effort is appropriate. More power would make this car awesome. As is, it can be driven with the throttle, but its personality comes more from handling than power. Slalom: good turn-in, but can be tricky during rapid transitions -- especially in "Sport" mode. I found more confidence and speed in "Tour." Still, very rapid here -- more so than the BMW 328i. |
