Alright, so, i have had this car for around a year and you know what?.... i wouldn't trade it for the world! it has had it's share of problems, not gonna lie. Infact, i have to spring for a new transmission at 200,000(km) because mine is destroyed. 2 windows don't work, the dash will sometimes go dark during night driving and i can see my speed or anything, it needs new front shocks and a muffler. But, this car stills rids good despite all this, it has never let me down and never left me stranded. I still get great gas mileage(car says 28 MPG in 25/75 city/hwy driving!) and great power output. and once i put a new transmission in, i know it will be great, just the way General Motors made it
Mine is a Regal LS with the performance package and EVERY option the car had that year (1999) Heated seats, leather, sunroof, Driver information center below the tach, Gran Touring Suspension, Monsoon stereo system, 16" alloy rims. It is basically a GS without a supercharger (which is fine, 'cause i really don't need to pay for premium gas or get slightly worse gas mileage)
so i suppose in answer to the question, my favorite feature is all of them! :)
I can't lie and say it is perfect, if i were to ask for any changes it would be that they could have given the interior a better build quality. I mean i love the look, quite honestly i think it is one of the best looking cars for an interior i have seen in any car form any year, i absolutely love the look, but a lot of stuff creeks or shakes or rattles or what have you, and that can be annoying on a dirt or rough road. However, you can have that problem corrected for some money, but, it should have been better in the first place. Also, the transmissions are known for having issues, not all of them do, but enough that you should be aware of that before buying.
this car is by far the best i have ever owned im looking for my next regal since mine was totaled. at 50+ mph head on collision i walked away with a brused knee and a broken heart to see her like that i only had to keep up regaular maintance the hole time i owned it. before the wreck it had just went over the 250xxx mile mark and still ran like it was brand new i know i could easily got another 250xxx miles out of her i would reccomend this car to every one for safty and reliability
I bought this car with only 19k miles on it. In three years time, I have had to replace almost every single engine part. The cup holder pulled off in my hand. The rear mirror leaked the auto-darkening stuff so you couldn't see out of it at all. The visors broke off. The gas gauge broke. The low tire & service engine lights have been on for 2 years regardless of all of the work that has been done. The heat and A/C went out. One window will only roll down halfway. The interior portion of the doors are separating from the exterior - which is severely rusting. This car is a piece of junk. It costs me about $2000 a year to keep it running. I am going to buy a foreign car as soon as I can.
She's just about past her prime. She has 230k miles on her, we drive 25k a year. It hurts to take her off the road but she's worked long and hard. Never failed to start, even at 3 am on the coldest winter day. This year has been tough on her, I've sunk close to $3k into her, ac compressor, tie rods, brakes, mass air flow, a blower motor, and a few other little things. Her rack just went and the trannie lines are leaking so it's time to let go. I did have to replace the trannie a few years ago at about 150k miles or so. In the last 10 years, I've replaced the battery once, maybe 2 starters and an alternator.. My mechanic swears the engine on these cars will never die.
leather heated seats, corners like a dream, no shimmying or shaking at high speeds, steering wheel controls
Since I got 230k miles out of the engine, I think you did good.
