I don't know about questions 1 & 2 but number 3 I know about. I have a 1997 Park and had the same problem with the driver's door. The inside of the door has to be taken apart to reach the problem. As repairs go these days, the entire latch showing outside has to be replaced and has to be painted to match your vehicle. Parts & labor $140. My Buick dealer did the work. Read More...

1997 Buick Park Avenue: 3800 Engine I need to know how to get to the A/C filter down by the accelerator. The Owner Manual says it can be replaced or discarded, but I can't tell if I have to remove screws to get to it or if there is a door of some kind. Any help appreciated. I have a 1997 Park Avenue that I bought last summer with 126000 miles on it. Fortunately 1 week after I bought it from the dealership the intake issue occured and that was repaired under warranty.
