Buick Park Avenue Ultra - Underrated!
By Spartanboat on
2000 Buick Park Avenue Ultra 4dr Sedan
This is my fifth Buick, plus I have
owned 4 Mercedes. This Park Ave Ultra
has fast acceleration, due to the high
torque from supercharger. It is very
quiet, with very low wind and engine
noise. It is very stable at freeway
speeds, but the shocks are weak over
large undulations- the only and major
weak point in the car. It grows on you!
Great acceleration, brakes quite good
for off-ramps, etc. Very stable in
high winds. More comfortable the
longer the trip- many seat adjustments,
plus heads-up display. Owner
programmable features. Great fuel
economy, 26.5mpg at 75-80mph. Controls
easy to use.
Major- the weak shocks detract from a
very nice road car, which is a common
complaint; install some Bilsteins!
Minor- Add the rear view mirror to
memory settings. Steering is
programmable, but dealers are clueless
as how to change the settings. A
