Family has had car since new. still no rust, engine runs strong, a-c works perfect, new alt. plugs every 30,000, drive belt at 15 years, plug wires at 10 years, boils down to still the road king. mpg 22-28 , one time 30 but had the wind at my back on a 660 mile trip. plan to keep at least 3 more years, 90k on odometer
comfy seats, extra leg room front and back, solid running engine
power door locks are cheap, headliner falling down in 15th year
People who don't own either the Park Avenue or LeSaber never believe the mileage they get - ours still gets 25mpg around town and nearly 30 on the interstate. We've had the car for 11 years and everything still works=the only non-routine (tires, exhaust.etc) repair was we lost the bolt on the swaybar-if Detroit would make all their cars like they did the old Park Avenues and LeSabers, they would be buying out Honda and Toyota.
The night vision on the rearview mirror is magic - when there's no one following you, you get a clear picture of what's in back and when some idiot comes up with his highbeams on, all you see is slightly green=tinted spots for his headlights NO glare
Bought this old girl 1.5 yrs ago while looking for a creampuff. 63K on her and clean. Have put about $1000 in it for brakes, starter, and battery. Rides great, everything still works, and 23 mpg city, 27 mpg hwy. Now just 74K and is a great ride. A bit dated but I only have $4000 in it and it will go for a lot more miles. Best second car you can find out there.
I got this car after graduation from my mom and I have had nothing but problems with it. There is constantly a mechanical error, and it seems to steadily eat new brake pads and rotors. The gas mileage is awful, and I just had all the filters replaced along with normal oil changes and maintenance.
I love the interior, it is so comfortable. I love how the seats fully recline and the leather interior makes for easy cleaning.
Fix typical mechanical errors, make it not so boat-ish.
