People who don't own either the Park Avenue or LeSaber never believe the mileage they get - ours still gets 25mpg around town and nearly 30 on the interstate. We've had the car for 11 years and everything still works=the only non-routine (tires, exhaust.etc) repair was we lost the bolt on the swaybar-if Detroit would make all their cars like they did the old Park Avenues and LeSabers, they would be buying out Honda and Toyota.

Bought this old girl 1.5 yrs ago while looking for a creampuff. 63K on her and clean. Have put about $1000 in it for brakes, starter, and battery. Rides great, everything still works, and 23 mpg city, 27 mpg hwy. Now just 74K and is a great ride. A bit dated but I only have $4000 in it and it will go for a lot more miles. Best second car you can find out there.

We've had this car for over 11 years and it still gets 26+mpg overall and 30mpg on the highway. The only "system failure" is that the cruise control sometimes disengages by itself.

I got this car after graduation from my mom and I have had nothing but problems with it. There is constantly a mechanical error, and it seems to steadily eat new brake pads and rotors. The gas mileage is awful, and I just had all the filters replaced along with normal oil changes and maintenance.

38 mpg doing 65 mph on interstate 90 from Hill City, South Dakota to Lake Andes, South Dakota. What a pleasure to drive a car with a great ride and unbelievable gas mileage. The V-6 3800 engine sets a standard for the rest to follow.

I am a Buick fan and this car has not let me down. The fuel economy is fantastic at 30 MPG on highway and for a car this size it is amazing. The comfort is unparalleled and comparable to top-end Lexus at much higher prices. I bought this car with 70000 miles and after another 70000 miles of driving it, the maintenance expense has been basic (brakes, water pump, battery). A great car at a great price.

I bought car with 16k miles, now has
178,000. Runs as well as when I bought
it. Ride on flat roads is excellent,
3.8 liter V6 engine is noted as one of
GM's best. I can get 28 mpg on highway
if kept under 70mpg, excellent cruise
control. Everything inside is postioned
correctly. Steering wheel controls work
well to change radio/climate control. I
can see all gauges and speed/tac thru
steering wheel. Leather seats are
comfortable, center arm rest/console
with cup holder is nice, large dash has
all the car information and is easy to
read. Really like inside trunk release
and auto level, great trunk space. I
have owned 5 Buicks and will buy
another.
