Mainstream Large Sedans Comparison

Re: A slightly embarrassing personal question [tonycd]

Tony, My back does not get sweaty in my 2007 Hyundai Azera even when the outside temperature is near or over 100 F and I have black leather seats. BTW you can get both heated and cooled front seats for the Buick Lucerne on all but the CX base model. Read More...

Re: 2009 Lucerne [kdshapiro]

Try $1200 or less to replace a 4 speed transmission in a Buick(or other GM with one). Yes, the new GM 5-6 speed models are also similarly pricey, so the smart money is on the older 4 speed design. That's some serious money saved, and last I checked, they are very reliable as all of the bugs have been worked out. It's not a fun car. But it's virtually as reliable as what ... Read More...

Buick Lucerne: Meet the Owners!

Re: Garbage [jg585]

I have a 2007 Lucerne with 30000 miles. I have a lower back problem and the seats in the Lucerne made my back ache. I could only drive for a short while before I had to get out of the car and stretch. I told my chiropractor what was happening and he walked me out to my car. He saw the problem immediately when I sat in the car. It seemed that no matter how I position the seats ... Read More...

Buick Lucerne vs. Toyota Avalon

Lucerne - Avalon

Hi Folks, 5000 miles ago i traded a 2001 Toyota Avalon for a 2007 Lucerne. Toyota was the base model with 35,000 miles and the Lucerne was bought used with 22,000 miles. I have the v6 Lucerne with leather. As many others have said the seats in the Avalon were terrible, driving to Fla was torture till i bought one of those heated vibrating seats. The ride far better in ... Read More...

Buick Lucerne: Vibration Issues

Vibration

In my initial test drive of my new 2007 Buick Allure CXL (Lucerne in the US) I noted a vibration in the steering and seat at 60 - 70 mph. I was informed by the dealer this would be taken care of. However, after a wheel balance and replacement of tires with Michelin the vibration did not disappear. GM was contacted and their response was that this was a 'normal characteristic ... Read More...

Buick Lucerne Fuel Level Sensing and Display

Re: Gas gauge problems [mistyblue]

If you are not having a problem with your fuel gauge, you are fortunate. Owners of 2007 and 2008 Lucerne's are experienicing the same problem as me. Again, according to Buick, this is their design and may take up to ten miles of driving for the fuel gauge to correct itself. They are right as I have tested this several times. Not sure why yours work correctly and mine ... Read More...

RE: Inaccurate Fuel Gauge Reading [imidazol97]

What you are describing is not my problem. My fuel gauge problems started from day one when I purchased the car new (Aug 2006). I have had several contacts with other Lucerne owners experiencing the same problem as I. This problem is occurring in the 2007 and 2008 models. As for LeSabres, I have owned two, a 1989 and a 2002 both purchased new and never had any problems ... Read More...

Re: Buick Lucerne: Fuel Level Sensing and Display [b88lazer]

This message updates and corrects information in message #1 of 5 on the above subject. The vehicle in question is a 2007 Buick Lucerne CXS, not a "DTS" as originally cited. I apologize for the inexplicable brain fade and should have corrected this error much sooner. The fuel sensing and display gripe described in my original post still exists. The fuel tank fuel ... Buick Lucerne: Vibration Issues

Re: 07' Lucerne [carhelp7]

Buick never acknowledged that the post #145 Lucerne vibration issue was a general problem, just an occasional problem when pertinent tolerances all added up the wrong way, I guess. So, I doubt that anything was done about it for 2007 models. They DID acknowledge a problem with 1 of the 4 2006 engine/xmission mounts, and redesigned it. Replacing that mount, however, ...
