Eureka ! Finally someone with the same problem that I have with my 2003 Limited LeSabre. Three visits to the dealer has not solved the problem. Battery under the left rear seat. They haven't checked that one out as yet. The problem - - - intermittent noise behind the driver when making left or right turns.

I agree with you both. The dealers and GM are giving great deals. I am sure the Avalon will hold it's value, but I think you will save money on the front of the deal by spending a few thou. less on the Buick. 2003 Buick LeSabre Air Conditioning

Hello, I just traded my 2001 Buick Century for a 2003 LeSabre. The LeSabre is a definite upgrade. One thing different though is the air conditioning. It cools but it seems like the air is humid. The Century seemed to have a better a/c. Any ideas? Thank you!

I have had my LeSabre for just over three years and here is my pros and cons for what they are worth. 2000 Lesabre Custom with prestige pkg, leather package, 16" alloy wheels. Pro: This is a very nice car. My wifes Mom was dying in New Mexico and this constituted about 9 round trips from here in Oklahoma City (503 miles each way). On the highway it cruises 70-75 mph ... Personally, after the problems I had with a suspension creak in my 2000 LeSabre that the dealer and zone service guy was unwilling to fix I sold it and won't buy another Buick. A year old Cadillac is the same price with a better warrenty and lots more for the money. People here are selling 2001 DeVilles for $26,000 with 28k. Considering a 2000 Buick LeSabre Limted with about 7k, Y56, 16" Affinity tires, leather buckets, console, traction control and HUD (not sure if it has heated seats). This car has never been titled and is still "new." In other words, the dealer apparently ordered the car and accepted it in about September of 1999. Purchased my car on March 23,2001 I have had it back for a noise when turning right or left. sounds like it is coming from inside the car. The seat track has been replaced the noise is still there. Hard to tell exactly where the noise is coming from. Anyone else have similar problem.

Amazing, isn't it??? If you think your 96 handles well, you should check out the newer models. They're even tighter. I've driven both with the GT suspension and the new generation LeSabre is hands down better. I think Buick is finally starting to get it. At some point, my plan is to finish the work Buick started. I've got a similar problem. When I turn the car to the left, especially on a slow highway curve, my suspension makes a groaning sound. Happens no matter what speed I'm driving. the 2000 and 2001 LeSabres do NOT have seat belt adjusters for height and the free extension will not change the comfort level on your shoulder. When buick went to the "All belts-to-seat" design on the LeSabre in 00, I believe it was a mistake not having adjusters on it. I only sell them, I don't build them though. I sat in a friend's new 2001 LeSabre and noticed that the seatbelts were different than those in my cars (Mercury Sable and Honda Odyssey). The LeSabre's belts are 2 separate belts tied into the buckle tongue with 2 retractors. The lap belt was too tight for me to buckle comfortably. I've read through most of the postings... (Seems like much are placed by Infiniti salesmen!) When comparing the LeSabre with the Ford CV, or Merc GM, (which are both excellent vehicles, which my family has owned), the cars are quite different. (Regardless of being marketed together.) I agree with fwilson3. I have 10,000 miles on my 2000 LeSabre Limited and am still waiting for the first thing to go wrong. The passenger headrest was replaced by the dealer because it would not maintain its adjustment. That's it.
