Thanks for your glowing review of Buicks past. I suggest you spend some time in a 2000+ LeSabre or Regal GS before you start slamming the road manners anymore. I'm not expecting my LeSabre to keep up with a BMW 5-series through a twisting road but I also know that the Gran Touring suspension has alot more bite than you are giving it credit for. Everyone is entitled ... Read More...
Life in a Buick
It's kinda like a rocking chair; in fact at speed the long stroke struts don't have enough umph to keep the tire in contact with road and evidently the tires will start to cup/flat spot.. My encounters with Buicks is only with three of them, all bought new; 87 Electra T-Type,92 Regal GS, and a 94 LeSabre. The 87 was my wife's car and I flat spotted all four tires on a quick ... RE: Seeking thoughts on "new" 2000 LeSabre Limited fair price....
Andymsn: I've got a 2001 LeSabre Limited with every option except the engine block heater. Sounds like the car you are interested in is pretty much decked out the same way. If you decide to buy it, you'll love it. Here are my thoughts. As far as the Park Ave vs LeSabre question goes, I personally think the LeSabre is a better value. There used to be a pretty good gap between ... Read More...
Road report
An update. At 17,000 miles our Titanium blue 2000 Buick LeSabre custom with Prestigue Pkg and leather is doing great. It has several trips from OKC to Roswell NM under its belt (500 miles one way). Out on the open road it is hard to keep it on 75 because it just wants to go higher. We are in the midwest and speed limits are higher. It continues to pull a tad over 30 mpg cruising ... 2000 Buick LeSabre
I'm responding to the mail about the uncomfortable seats in the 2000 Buick Lesabre Custom. For what it's worth, I have a 2000 Buick Lesabre Custom. I'm 6'4" tall and I'm able to raise the seat up to where it is completely comfortable. Over the last year I've taken several long trips and I believe the seats are the most comfortable I've ever had in a car and so far, in ... Read More...

Creaking Noise in Supension 2000 LeSABRE
Does anyone have this problem? When you make a sharp left or right turn, there is a creaking noise in the front left side as the car rolls back on an even keel. There is also a creaking or cracking noise as you put on the brakes. My 90 and 94 LeSabres didn't have this creaking noise and the local dealer won't do anything because "nothing is broken" and "Buick won't pay ... Read More...
Washington Times LeSabre Review - 4/27/01
I just finished reading the Auto Weekend section of the Washington Times newspaper, a section that appears every Friday. Lo and behold, on page E13, a review of the Buick LeSabre, under a heading which reads LeSabre isn't sexy, but it sells. I had a feeling right away that I wasn't going to like this article. I was pretty much right. The article was reprinted by The ... Read More...
2000 Buick LeSabre
I currently have a 2000 Buick LeSabre. The car currently has 7800 miles on it. I've changed the oil twice since purchasing the car in Jun of 00. Before the first oil change I drove about 2500 miles and I had used about 3/4 quart of oil. Between the first and second oil change I drove about 2500 miles and used a little over 1/2 quart of oil. I have driven about 800 miles since ... Read More...
Chandler995 Buick Lesabre problems
I recently purchased a 97 Olds 88 LSS with the same 3800 engine and 4T60E transmission as you have. I no sooner drove it a couple of days when I noticed the surging under light throttle application just after the transmission went into lockup. Needless to say I was quite annoyed and didn't know what it was. I pulled it out of O/D and problem went away and noticed it didn't ... Read More...
