I have a 2000 la sabre limited, 170,000 miles. Great running car. With the rear windows, you can hear the motors run but nothing happens with the windows. Is this the regulator, cable, or what? Also, how difficult to fix? Additionally, my steering wheel lights do not work. I can get the switches out of the steering wheel but the lights look like little blue LED lights ... Read More...

Just out of curiosity, I have a 2000 Buick LeSabre, I want to change the factory installed radio for another factory radio (like you did) with a cd player. Can I just upgrade from a non-cd radio with a cd player radio? Do I need some special wiring? The new radio will be a factory made (in case I can do that). Any suggestions? Read More...

Sounds like a bad starter wire connection to me. Sometimes if you clean all the connections and add a little grease they start better. Clean both the battery posts as well and add some grease there too. Finally, if that is not it, you could have a blown head gasket. As it heats up it expands and may be allowing coolant into a cylinder which will make it run rough or not ... Read More...

I have a 2000 lesabre as well. Indeed a good car. I have replaced every window motor in my car and I have replaced the drivers side one twice. The first one I paid $450.00 at the dealership. Now you can get them at www.powerupauto.com for about $65.00. They usually charge me about $30.00 to install at the dealership body shop. Other than the window motor problems the ... Read More...

I have a '94 Buick LeSabre that idles very high and the speedometer doesn't work. One mechanic told me that "mice" might have chewed the wires up in the dash, but that would be impossible, since mice aren't in my car. This has occurred twice. Both times were after a longer drive 80+ miles on the freeway. I stopped for gas and when I tried to start again, it started and ran rough, like it was not hitting on a cyclinder or two or flooded. I held the gas petal down, but that did not help. I just changed the rear brakes and rotors. I first used a C-Clamp to compress the piston but then realized you have to turn them (I used needle nose pliers). I was able to turn them a couple of times, put them back on, depressed the brake, then turned it a couple of times more.
