Lacrosse V6 is a Good Buy
By vazoom on
2011 Buick LaCrosse CXL 4dr Sedan AWD (3.6L 6cyl 6A)
Now on my 1st month of ownership of the Lacrosse CX V-6.
recently took a 1K mile trip to S. Virginia--mileage (22-23 mpg) as predicted on the open road with cruise control; very comfortable ride; great handling in country road turns along with unexpected braking for slow-moving traffic/animals crossing path.
Very responsive acceleration with the V-6.
Driving controls and info displays are very readable; "blue" lighting is a definite plus in
Excellent craftmanship in interior construction.
greatly reduced trunk space compared to older Buick Century; rear visibility (for parking) is just adequate even with beeping sensor. Overall: excellent buy vs Lexus
Lacrosse has the typical, very comfortable Buick ride.
And, Buick sylists finally hit the mark in updating Buick interior and exterior image/appearance.
Have had several comments in the vein of:
"That's a Buick?"
Exterior craftmanship is finally where it should be--equal of Lexus, Maxima, Audi, in this size; but, without the price tag.
Lacrosse rear visibility needs a camera view to accurately show objects to the rear of the car especially when doing any reverse maneuvering.
The "beeping" sensor simply isn't enough to have a clear picture of what's behind the car--especially if you have children / animals in an obscured view.
Rear-view camera is really needed.
Lacrosse could do with more trunk space; greatly reduced from older Century.
This was probably sacrificed to achieve the exterior look and spacious interior.
