Hello Car_man, Do you have the residual and money factor for 08 Z4 si 36 mo 15K miles? I am trying to validate numbers a dealer is giving me. Here's what I have gotten from him so far: Negotiated price - 43,500 (includes metallic paint, premium, sport, nav, steptronic, heated seats and zenon headlights) Dealer says MSRP is 50750. That only makes sense if nav is not in the car. I ... Read More
So my 2006 Z4 lease is coming to an end this summer (3 months). BMW sent me info w.r.t. different options but they won't allow me to discuss re-lease terms with them prior to 60 days before lease end (apparently because of changing residuals and money factors). I had some questions for the group: (1) is there anywhere where I could find the ballpark numbers for my car (i.e. if my ... Read More
From earlier posts, it seems like there is confusion on the stock tires for a Z4. I bought a new Z4 Coupe in August, 2006 and it came with Potenza RE050A's. I did not get the sport package because I intended to drive the car year round (I live in the suburbs of Chicago). To quote a review of these tires, "do not even think of driving on this tire in ... Hi zhamid. See my previous post for this car's money factor. BMW FS' 36 month, 10,000 mile per year residual value for the '07 Z4 3.0i roadster is 66%. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum
Hi delfer. BMW's lease program for 2007 models is completely different than it is for 2006 models. In fact, it is no longer providing lease support on '06s. BMW Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 BMW Z4 3.0 Convertible with 15,000 miles per year are .00125 and 63%, respectively. You can use this lease program, along with the ... Read More

HI Carman! Is it fair to assume that the 2007 lease prices and deals will look similar to what you have quoted in 2006 for user tnoxid? Reason I ask is I'm pretty much looking to lease exactly the same car he specified as follows: Hi Car Man, I'm looking at leasing a 2007 Z4 3.0 Convertible, with the following spec / terms: Premium Sport Sat Nav 15K MPA 36 Months ... I'm here taff67. Unfortunately, BMW Financial Services is no longer leasing 2006 models. If you want to lease this car, you will have to do so through an independent bank...if you can still find one that is leasing 2006 BMWs. If you really want to lease, you would probably be better off leasing a 2007 Z4 at this point. I would be happy to estimate what sort of lease payment you ... Read More

Hi addi. BMW is not currently providing any lease support on the 2006 X4 Coupe. As a result, if you were to lease one through BMW Financial Services, you would have to use its standard lease money factor. Its current standard factor is right in line with the factor that you were quoted. The residual values that you posted are right in line with what the residuals for a lease of ... Read More
Hi noobified. BMW Financial Services' current residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2006 M Coupe with 15,000 miles per year is 52%. Its 12k residual would be 2% higher and its 10k residual would be 3% higher. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum
Hello Car_Man: I am now in the 180 day zone with my 2004 BMW 525i. When you get a chance, would you please let me know about the following: 24 months = 61% 30 months = 56% 36 months = 51% The MF for all three above was .00319 Thank you for your info. I appreciate. Addi.
Hi holoduke. OK, so you were offered a 2006 BMW Z4 3.0si that has an MSRP of $48,220 for $38,152. BMW was providing $7,000 dealer cash on this car, so that means you are being given a dealer discount of a little over $3,000 on it. This car probably has a spread of around $4,200 or so between its full MSRP and dealer invoice price, so the price that you were ... Read More
Hi garota. What you were told about the dealer cash not being available on 2007 models is correct. While I am not intimately familiar with what the inventory situation is like for this model in your area, I suspect that most dealers probably are running fairly low on leftover 2006 Z4s by now. I actually was a little surprised when BMW initially introduced its aggressive promotion on the 2006 Z4 because ... Read More
No problem, ip79. BMW's current incentive program is scheduled to run through January 2nd. Here is the offer I'm getting from a dealer (who is also telling me that the 2006 Z4 3.0i's are in short supply in the western region...is that true? how can I find out?. It has the fully automatic soft top, the bluetooth and BMW Assist ... Read More
Hi alp8. BMW has an amazing lease program and dealer cash on the 2006 Z4 right now. This promotion is better than most of the lease programs I have seen on this car in the past. Check into assuming someone's lease on one, but you may find that it is less expensive to just lease a brand new one right now. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum
Hey juanito1. BMW has had dealer cash on the 2006 Z4 for quite some time, but it increased its dealer cash on this model to the current $5,000 / $7,000 level on October 3rd. It is scheduled run through January 2nd. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum
No problem, ip79. I don't think that you are being aggressive enough with this car's selling price. If you are able to get one at dealer invoice, like you mentioned in your post, the dealer still gets to keep the whopping $5,000 dealer cash that is available on it. I personally would shoot for at least $4,000 below invoice on this car. Even, $3,000 below is much better than the price ... Read More
Hi ip79. In order to figure out what your car's lease payment should be you need to know its selling price. BMW is providing a whopping $5,000 dealer cash on the 2006 Z4 3.0i roadsters right now. This cash will enable you to negotiate a very attractive selling price on one. There's nothing wrong with trading in your current car when leasing a new one, however it would be in your ... Read More
Hi expunged. The money factor that you were quoted for this car is right in line with BMW Financial Services' buy rate for one with seven additional security deposits. This is a good sign because it means that the dealer that you are working with is not trying to mark your car's money factor up to add additional hidden profit to your deal. I would be happy to give you my ... Read More
Yes, slaughter5111, the money factor that you mentioned is BMW Financial Services' current buy rate for the 2006 Z4 3.0i roadster. This car's 36 month, 15,000 mile per year residual value is currently 57%. When you are negotiating your lease on it, don't forget about the $1,800 dealer cash that BMW is currently providing on it. It will help you to negotiate an attractive capitalized cost. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum ... Read More

Hi ragster07. The dealer invoice price of the car that you described is around $37,225. This means that you are getting your car for right around dealer invoice. Also, the money factor that you were quoted for this car is ... Read More
Hi bgoldman. The money factor that you were quoted is right in line with BMW FS' buy rate for this car. No problem, lopz. You were smart to read those articles. Consumers who try to lease vehicles without understanding how it works are often taken advantage of. Hi Alice. You certainly have an appropriate used id. It appears as though the dealer that you are working with is trying to mark up your car's lease money factor in an effort to add hidden back-end profit to your deal. BMW FS' specific policy on this matter, but I suspect that like most banks it allows its lessees to extend their leases for a couple of months at their current payment. Hello Addi. This car's lease program varies depending upon how long you lease it for and how many miles per year you are allowed to drive. For now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year. Let me know if you want something different. Host, You may be right, that the Z4 comes standard with all seasons. I was going by the ones that I have seen - all with the sport package. Byt the way, has the Z4 been discountinued for 2006? - it's not listed in Edmunds BMW models list. Logic1, According to Edmunds, the Miata Sport comes standard with rather benign all season tires. And there are many "Potenza" tires that include ... Read More
The convertible top in the Z4 is a pleasure to use. It is fast opening and closing, relatively quiet, and well insulated. Didn't know if you were aware.... you can get a hardtop for the Z4.
after reviewing the 2006 z4 photoes, i and my son are really interested in getting one instead of mercedes slk. Hi driver17. By "12/06" did you mean that your current lease runs through December 2006 or December 6th of this year? I suspect that you meant the latter. When will the 2006 z4 be in showrooms. Anyone know? Currently in a lease with bmw until 12/06. How dioes it work if i wanted to keep leasing the same car until the 2006 z4 model comes in ?
Hi baasten. As bdr127 just mentioned, BMW has not started producing 2006 Z4s yet. When they begin to arrive early next year, I highly doubt that BMW will offer any sort of dealer cash on them. It might initially offer a special lease program, but it will be different than the one that is available on the 2005 Z4. Car_man Host Smart Shopper / Prices Paid Forums
