Sounds like expensive to me. This is what I got from my dealer: 2010 X5 3.0 - Premium, Technology, rear climate package, 3rd row seats. $5000 Initial down payment(includes first month payment, one month payment as security deposit) $605 per month(with tax it's $664 tax - california). 36 months, 12K miles /year. I did not take this, instead placed an order for X5 35d diesel.

Hi stanx5. BMW FS' money factor for X5 diesels was .00280. It is now .00250. Banks like to change these things to keep us on our toes ;) . BMW's current lease program is scheduled to run through January 4th. It's possible that it will make an unscheduled enhancement to its lease program for certain models in December, but the program for most models will likely remain the same through the ... Read More

Lease on 2009 Loaner X5 3.0
Written by: new_bmw on Dec 20, 2009 10:29:21 AM
I am considering leasing a 2009 X5 3.0i that was used as a loaner (it comes with full warranty). It has most of the extras with the exception of NAV. It has 16K miles on it. Original MSRP was 55K and selling price is 40K after 2.5K rebate. Looking at a 3 yr, 10K mile lease for about $650 (incl. tax, $1K down). Having trouble figuring out what the residual should ... Did you also have to pay for the charges shown below which are also typical add-on charges here? The MACO is something I could not get the dealer drop and they told me it was an integral part of the BMW invoice and offered to show it to me on the paperwork. - MACO ($380) - administration ($399) - detail (aka dealer prep.) Yes, I am buying. I've heard the same thing about the tax credit. And, yes, my price is invoice price on everything (options incl.) then add $1,000 for dealer profit, then subtract $4,500 eco credit. Invoice prices are listed at Xoutpost.com.

To confirm, you are buying your X5 and not leasing, right? BMW tells us that leases are not eligible for the tax credit. There is some controversy about that.

My deal is $1,000 over invoice, then I receive the $4,500 eco credit, which brings it to $3,500 under invoice. Then I will receive another $1,800 federal tax credit for being a diesel. I ordered my X5 diesel in No. CA. It is a 2010, which will have the new iDrive. The price, of course, depends on the different options you want. It's all a matter of semantics, dcbmwowner. BMW itself calls the X3, X5, and X6 "BMW light trucks" in its monthly sales press release. If BMW calls them trucks, then that's what I'm going to call them. http://news.prnewswire.com/DisplayReleaseContent.aspx?ACCT=ind_focus.story&STORY- =/www/story/10-01-2009/0005105009&EDATE= Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

Nope, not in CA.....I think here in NY/NJ/CT X5s have fallen out of favor - gas guzzlers, economy stinks, etc. I know BMW is kicking back $1750 to lower lease payments but I think for leftover 2009s based on what others have posted, I should be able to get it close to invoice which should yield attractive monthly lease payments given that 2010s are starting to pop up....

The transport fee is negotiable. Is it being flat-bedded or driven? I'd be willing to pay more if it was flat-bedded. The MACO and training are real fees that are on the invoice. The MF is being marked up by the max 0.004, so that could be negotiated to the base 0.0018. I would NOT put $7k cash down. If the car is stolen or totalled, that money is gone. I'd ... Read More
