Re: 2007 X5 4.8 Lease [twilly3]
Hello twilly3. Let me begin by saying that it is not a good idea to make such a large down payment when leasing. I always advise consumers against making capitalized cost reductions on leased vehicles. Those who make them risk losing them if their vehicle is totaled in an accident or stolen and never recovered. As far as the selling price that you mentioned goes, ... Read More...

Hi Keith. BMW Financial Services' lease program varies by term and mileage allowance. For now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year. If you want to haul a boat BEWARE!
I'm advised by my dealership the trailer hitch kit for the 2007 BMW X5 has some "technical issues" left to be resolved and no release date has been announced despite the fact over a thousand people have ordered them across the country. I'm not sure what you do if you want to pull your boat with this vehicle. Read More...

Re: Ipod question [anon3]
The cable to connect an iPod to the new X5 is now available at dealers. But there's a problem with it if you have an X5 that was built before March/April 2007. BMW's cable uses a 3.5mm connector for sound and a USB connector to control the iPod with the car's entertainment functions (and it charges the iPod too.) If you have iDrive, you can get a software update to control ... Read More...
2007 BMW X5 V6 vs 2008 V6 Cayenne
Re: 2007 BMW X5 V6 vs. 2008 V6 Cayenne [oniac]
The specs on the paper certainly favored the Cayenne, but my friend's opinion was that the Bimmer was more agile. I know by sitting in the rear seat in both of them that Cayenne certainly made more noise and felt like really trying to be peppy, while Bimmer was much quieter and thus made me believe what was my friend saying, that is, that it was more agile and peppy without ...
