Re: MDX vs. Benz ML 350 vs Porsche vs BMW X5
From my SUV hunt, I eliminated BMW X5 (too many friends got lemons or service problems)& Porsche (best looking but poor dealer attitude with too limited warranty for a fuzzy car): Benz ML 350 vs Acura MDX Technology 1. Benz drives with a more solid & safe feel 2. Benz has a much better exterior front nose. 3. Surprisingly Benz holds better resale value when I checked ... Read More...

Re: Poor Buying Experience at Patrick BMW in IL [louiep]
Louiep, My order was on April 8th, the first week I started my life in Chicago. Until now, I still dont get my X5 4.8 yet. this Monday, i talked to my sales, and he called BMW NA(seems like), he called me back and said the X5 should be in production next week(the first time seems he was pretty sure). last week, when i went to dealer, he checked online and told me the x5 is ... Re: BMW X5 [aminoacids1]
Hi aminoacids1. In your post you mentioned that you are willing to pay $5,700 at lease signing. It actually would be in your best interest not to make any capitalized cost reduction when you lease. Consumers who make large cap cost reductions on leased vehicles risk losing part or all of them if their vehicle is totaled in an accident or stolen and never recovered. ... Read More...

Amen Brother! Just browsing through Motor Trend's SUV of the year article and looking at all the car-like SUVs out there. The new Honda CR-V takes the cake for hideous! The BMW X-3 is not much better. I quite don't understand the reasoning behind the X-3, why not just buy the BMW 3 series model and if you want performance buy the M Series. At least you would have more ... Read More...

Whats a good lease on a 2007 x5 3.0?
I visited the local BMW dealer a few days ago and setted on a 3.0 x5 with Premium and Tech package. Total was about $53225 for 15000 miles per year and 5700 out of pocket. The 36 mo lease offer was approx 721, dealer told me they would bump it down to 700 with taxes included. This was a dealer in florida, i called up a few other dealers and was offered 699 and then 695 per year. ... Read More...

Re: Article Comments - 2007 BMW X3 vs. 2008 Land Rover LR2 [carduude]
Yeah I agree with that. Still not a fan of the current X5 though. It looks fine from some angles but from others it looks as bad as the X3. The afterthought rear seats really bother me too. I mean if you are going to take the time to design a third row make the rear seats usable to someone besides a 10 year old. Not even an average height 10 year old they would have to be a short ...
