BMW X3 cabin noise and vibration
Is this at all related?
Bouncing, swaying ride and this? "For years, owners of the BMW 3 Series E46 models have been reporting ruptures in subframe structure of their cars. These problems appear in the rear mounting points for the subframe, which can rip out from their spots ... Read More...

2009 X5 Diesel - Questions and Comments
My new BMW X5 35D
Two weeks ago I traded my 2006 Mercedes Benz ML500 for a 2009 BMW X5 diesel with the Premium Package, the Sport Package, Third Row Seats, heated front seats, and Satellite radio. After 500 miles I am getting just over 20 mpg around town, but haven't had it out on the road yet. I have started a journal about the good, the bad, and the ugly of this vehicle, and am comparing ... Re: 2006 BMW X5 ignition off but still running [steve_]
It might be the fan which was running. But why? It never happened to me before. Engine temperature was normal and weather was cold. After I re-started the engine and turned it off, the running was gone rightaway. I am not sure if it is normal. Steve, thank you for the reply. Read More...

After this, I did not see anything running any more. ... Read More...

End of lease questions
Carman & Kyfdx, I have a 2006 X5 with a 36 months/15 k miles per year lease, which is ending in June 2009. Unfortunately, I'm at 41,000 miles right now. Is it true that I can call BMWFS and purchase more miles? And if so are their penalties that may come up when I turn the vehicle in? Or decide to purchase the vehicle? Or is it better to turn the vehicle in early and get another ... Read More...
