2004 4.4 BMW X5
Written by: art44 on Oct 23, 2003 1:02:30 PM
I believe Xenons are standard equipment on the 2004 X5 4.4. Go with the Navigation System. Nice toy. Forget the Premium Sound, it upgrades a substandard sound system to just barely adequate in my opinion. Your money is better spent on the Comfort Seats. The standard 4.4 rims are the style 74 star spoke alloys, I hope. I was researching a 2004 X5 4.4 with Premium, Sport, Rear Climate packages, and ... Read More

JACK , one more time please
Written by: blockislandguy on Apr 30, 2003 8:30:57 PM
Jack, if I read you right, it seems that the MY 2000 and 2001 are to be avoided. Further, if you buy a CPO you can 1) save the initial first year hit on depreciation and 2) get a longer warranty than on a brand new car that has not been exactly trouble free (at least initially). So, wouldn't the smart thing to do to buy a 2002 CPO and pass ... Read More

Lease Rates
Written by: chile96 on Apr 24, 2003 6:24:01 AM
Thanks all for the info. When the MF and poss residuals change in May(hopefully for the better), where can I find out the actual numbers so that I won't have to keep asking everybody in TH. Thanks again. Also, any ideas on leasing a CPO 2002 X5? Anything I need to realize because if it's the same deal, I think that would be much more affordable especially since it's covered by ... Tax break if you buy X5 for small business
Written by: reddy422 on Dec 28, 2002 8:48:40 AM
The following article (attached link) in detroit news suggests that a small business can get an accelerated depreciation tax break of $24,000 if you buy any SUV that weighs 6000 lb or more and BMW X5 qualifies for it. But when I checked in edmunds, X5 weighs only around 4500 lbs and I was wondering how come it is qualified. Does any one used this tax break before or have any ... Read More

Best CPO deal on 2001 X5 3.0
Written by: jvmax on Dec 24, 2002 2:12:35 PM
Well I'm back again after balking at $43,500 on a 2002 demo 3.0 X5 with auto, premium pkg, xenon, and rear climate with 900 miles. No it wasn't a CPO either. So I am now intrigued with a CPO 2001 X5 3.0 with 33k miles for $35,900. It also has auto, Premium Pkg, Rear Climate. I guess it is a Year End Blowout at one of the BMW dealers in Northern ... 2002/2003 X5 and Pricing
Written by: dzuba on Oct 29, 2002 11:26:17 AM
I'm curious, on new - what are people out there paying below MSRP? $1500, $2000, $500.00? Today I had a BMW rep offer to throw in the Spartenburg experience if I purchased new vs. CPO, as he has no CPO on the lot! Anyone done the Spart thing, and is it worth it? He flies me down, I do the thing, and drive my vehicle home!

Florida Pricing
Written by: jvmax on Oct 9, 2002 11:19:31 PM
Ok, I'm new at posting--have always been the reader intstead of writer. Anyways I have made my profile public for anyone who would like to email. I have personally contacted several BMW dealers tonight, so I will await tomorrow's responses. Seems like the BMW dealer in West Palm Beach has 13 2002 x5 3.0's in stock so that might be the one to get a deal on. We'll see....

2002 3.0i Under Invoice <>
Written by: jvmax on Oct 9, 2002 6:49:34 PM
OK, after some research in the Central/South Florida area, there is no way that I can get invoice price let alone under invoice on any 2002 3.0 X5 eventhough the 2003's are on the lot. Best I can do is 1500 above invoice. One dealer even had 7 2002 X5's and wouldn't deal even without a trade-in, and I even was going through BMW Financial services. I think some people on ... MOST FUN TO DRIVE
Written by: hayes8 on Oct 2, 2002 2:28:54 PM
I bought my 2002 X5 and took delivery in Naples, Italy. Just let me say that on a trip from Naples to Rome on the A1 and I set the cruise control on 110mph and the car never missed a beat. There were a couple of times where I had to push it in order to get out of the way of the cars passing me but I was truly impressed. ... Read More

Negotiating now on an '03 4.4
Written by: monkeyyeh on Sep 24, 2002 4:17:40 PM
Got a few questions for everyone... hopefully they won't be annoyingly simple. 1. Tax and tags... are taxes a given? I'm an idiot living in DE where there are no sales tax, but looking to purchase the X5 in PA... perhaps sales tax on vehicles are separate from normal sales tax? 2. As I understand it, BMW doesn't have a holdback. Given that I don't have the invoice pricing info for ... Read More

BMW X5 3.0 Sport vs. Mercedes ML320 Sport...?
Written by: needwheelsbad on Jun 20, 2002 8:08:10 PM
We are looking at both of these SAV/AAV's and are having a tough time choosing.. The BMW rides better but the 2002 M-Class is better than previous years. Are there any X5 Sport owners out there who have gone through this decision? I would appreciate any comments from X5 Sport owners. Thanks.

BMW X5 - In the Snow
Written by: surfer8 on Jan 18, 2002 3:50:22 PM
I'm ordering a 2002 BMW X5 4.4. I'm going to order the Sport Package and I wanted to upgrade to the 19 x 9 inch performance wheels (19 x 10 in the rear) but the dealer is saying that they are terrible for the snow and that I should stay with the 18 x 8.5 wheels. Anyone have any experience with the larger performance wheels in the snow. We don't go ... Read More

Price increases on Jan 1
Written by: lazura on Dec 29, 2001 2:45:04 PM
I stopped by my local BMW dealer today to order an X5, and he informed me that BMW is raising all the X5 invoice prices starting on Jan 1, 2002. Does anyone know if this is correct or is the dealer trying to squeeze more profit out of me with this tactic? For example, the dealer informed me that the 3.0i base invoice will increase from $355170 to $35560. Also, the ... Read More

Ordering an X5
Written by: lazura on Dec 25, 2001 3:43:03 PM
I have contacted a few dealers and the best offer I have received so far is 5% over invoice for a 2002 X5 3.0 (about $2000 over invoice). Based on previous posts this is about average, but the problem I have encountered is that the BMW dealers are not being honest about the leasing terms (big suprise, huh?). We know that BMW FS is offering a .0019 money factor and 63% ... Read More

Ordering an X5
Written by: lazura on Dec 17, 2001 10:25:24 AM
I found out from a dealer that the $645 destination charged cannot be waived because it is an 'average' of all shipping charges for BMW, regardless of the location of delivery. With living so close to the Spartanburg, SC BMW factory(where the X5 is built), and looking to order an X5 rather than by a currently built one, I am in an advantagous position. I am about to send out a ... Read More

Ordering an X5
Written by: lazura on Dec 10, 2001 12:21:13 PM
I have a delimma that I'm hoping somebody could assist me. I am interested in purchasing a 2002 X5 3.0, but I don't want to take delivery for a few months because I'm trying to sell one of my other cars. Also, I would like to 'lock in' on the great lease rates that BMW is offering this month (63% residual/3 years, .00190 money factor), even though I don't want to ... Read More
