    Can you tell me whats wrong with my car?. I have a BMW X5 2001. Once in a while it vibrates when im on the break but recently it shuts down when im at lower speeds or on the break.I got new spark plugs as well as the engine fuel filter cleaned.Checked the breaks too.

    bmw x5 3.0i 2001 when I start up in morning reverse out my garage put it into drive and accelarte the revs just climb and the car does not move. then suddenly she will go.     I just had the same thing happen to my 2001 X5 3.0. In speaking with the service department at my local BMW dealer it appears that due to the severe cold weather this has been an issue lately. With my X5 the seperator actuall blew at the back so there was not any visible sign of this issue under the hood.

    please refer to oct 05 consumer reports. bmw has the worest record among all automakers for the 1st and 2nd model years (70+ problems per 100 vehicles). honda and toyota have around 20 problems per 100 vehicles. i think lexus would be a much better choice.

    For your wipers acking like that means the smallest wire from your wiper motor is not sending the reset signal to the GM(zke) that wire goes to just three places; wiper motor,GM(zke) and the rain sensor. PDC should come on when you put it in reverse, try it in forward and see if the light flashes then, if it does then you may have a bad pdc sensor.
