I have a 2007 x3. BMW North American paid to have my sheared engine bolts replaced in late August 2011 with upgraded bolts. We have 78k miles. This is a known issue. This reportedly did not damage my water pump. My advice to you is to complain about the bolts and get them to at least pay for the bolts. In my opinion they should pay for the pump too. Our ...
