Re: 2005 X3 3.0 Rattling me crazy! [dmosier1]

Of course it creaks, the X3 Ultimate Creaking Machine is made of wood... didn't anyone tell you... This is appearently a classic BMW annoyance which appears to plague the X3 particularly. You can search just about any BMW forum and find a lot of discussion about this solutions people have tried The problem is the door seals rubbing against the door. What works ... Read More...

Re: Aftermarket Bluetooth [diverman]

It would be less hassle, less money, less aggravation to trade your X3 in, get one with the Premium Package, Upgraded sound system with Sirius and BT -- while you're at it get the sport package also -- than it would be to add the BT capability. The BMW assist is 100% free forever -- if you don't use it. It is free for one year even if you do -- and unlike the On*star system, ... Read More...

How do you program the "Clown Nose" to flash if you don't have an alarm?

How do you program the "Clown Nose" to flash if you don't have an alarm? I just got my wife a Certified Pre-Owned 2004 BMW X3 2.5i the other day. I was surprised to find that despite having the premium package with BMW Assist (7 months left on the free year of Assist service), that there was no alarm and no Home Link! Paid $30,995 for 2.5i with Premium Package, Cold Weather ... Read More...

BMW X3 Lease Questions

Re: 2005 X3 3.0i lease [bra]

A couple things..... Yes, the mileage is definitely adding to the price (BMW adds 15 cents per mile if you buy at the beginning of the lease, 20 cents at the end). 3000 extra miles at 0.15 = $450. Another thing to factor in is fees (bank fee, dealer admin fees, etc).... Are those included in the price? Those could add $1000 (or more) to your total price. Read More...

Re: Lease Comparison / Apples to Oranges [delrick]

I agree "delrick" -- especially after this weekend. I test drove the Saturn Saturday morning. It was nice and all, but just not what I was hoping it'd be. Afterward I popped into my BMW dealership for a spin in the X3 3.0 (I'd never driven one, just looked at and read about them) It was VERY nice. What a ride! Reminded me of my old 330i. I'm sold! Gas mileage sucks though. ... Read More...

BMW X3 Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: BMW X3 2.5 [bmw_x3_2005]

I bought a X3 3.0 two weeks ago for 500 over invoice in rochester,ny and noticed some posts for even less. Aim for a price 500 below invoice as 2.5 does not seem to be as popular as 3.0. Good luck. Read More...

BMW X3 2.5

Interested in buying a X3 2.5, as this model won't be in production in 06. Is now a good time to buy? I checked some dealers around and they basically asked for 1K higher than invoice price. Is this a good price? Thanks. Read More...
