Waiting in line at the pumps will only happen if there is a shortage of gas. Currently there is not a shortage. Right after Katrina, in northern KY, Premium Gas from a brand name outlet was $3.40+. No lines then, no lines now that the same station is at $2.86 for premium. The rare rare lines represent a distribution problem not a supply problem. My 2005 Audi A6 3.2 routinely goes ... Read More

Month 13, the Gloss Black with Terracotta interior 2005 BMW X3 (with nearly every option box checked) has now, just today, passed 20,000 miles. Been to the dealer for one oil change and twice (separate visits) for new windshield wiper blades. Probably by late this year, we'll put a new set of tires on the 18" sport wheels that came with the car. Love the car so much, we've signed up ... Read More

Hopefully you will pass this along to BMW NA, too: Here in Cincinnati there are two BMW dealers, we have only dealt with one of them, nothing I am about to say should reflect either negatively or positively on the dealer NOT in question. We purchased a BMW in 1988 -- a 325ix. A fantastic car in every way -- but, at that time, every service visit was $100 MINIMUM and ... Read More

If you wait until May, my bet would be, however, that the car would probably be an '07. The dealer should know the dates for the MY's. We negotiated EVERYTHING when we ordered ... Read More

We ordered our 2005 3.0 X3 with virtually every possible option AND the 6spd. The deal on ordered cars will be NOT one penny worse and according to the dealers (Audi and BMW) can more often than not be better than an inventoried item. Why? Continuous improvements happen, er, continuously. Do not hold your breath for the 3.0 255HP engine in MY or CY 2006, my best guess. The X3 is "the new" body style -- third year is 2006.
