2006 BMW M6 Road Test Ratings

The BMW M6's near-perfect driving dynamics are only brought down by the extra-stiff ride.

The M6 has segment leading handling, excellent brakes and an awesome V10 engine that sounds intoxicating.

The seats are excellent in terms of shape and adjustability, but the ride is simply too hard -- even on the softest of the adjustable settings.

The DSG is the only transmission, and adjusting the shift settings is cumbersome. A maunal would be a huge improvement. iDrive takes time to learn, and isn't well suited for driver use when underway. For example: there are 279 driver-selectable combinations for performance settings alone.

Segment-leading build quality. Polarizing exterior styling. The unpainted carbon-fiber roof is a sporty touch.
