We found a 1997 M3 with 138,500 miles on it that we are very interested in purchasing. This would be our 3rd car & more of a project car than a daily driver. The seller agreed to take it to a BMW dealership in order to have a pre-purchase inspection performed on the vehicle prior to us purchasing it. Nice farewell to one of the best cars BMW has ever sold in the US. I would say it's the most accessible, comfortable, and fastest M3 ever (until next year), but not necessarily the best. Agreed. I'm looking for an entertaining sled to drive to work and I just hate the thought of piling miles on to an E30 M3. Conversely, the E46 is a bit more expensive than I would prefer ... Read More...

I have a 97 328is, and the engine light has been on for four of the nine years. These foreign shops are useless in my opinion and would just bring the car to BMW. Everytime my light has been on,it was due to a bad 02 sensor and I had it replaced. I brought the car to another shop and was charged sixty dollars to diagnose the problem and they didn't know how to fix it. I would ... Read More...

I recently purchased a 1997 M3 with 72K miles in what seemed like excellent condition, but after driving it for a month and putting less than 1000 miles on it the "check engine" light came on. I checked the gas cap and it was tight. The car seems to be running great otherwise. What do you think? Also, the car did not come with an owner's manual. Any idea how I can get my ... Read More...
