Re: In the market for a USED 7 Series (2005 ot 2006) [speedy19]
Also look at this BMW is offering 0.9% on brand new BMW's including 7 series! So I could get a 2008. AND I know that BMW goes 5k below invoice on these cars, at least this is what ive heard! Can you please advise? It may be mor eeconomical to purchase a new one, 0.9% (AT 5K BELOW INVOICE) compared to purchasing a 2006 750i at 6% interest! Any thoughts? Read More...
ADVICE ON 760Li LEASE
Will soon begin negotiating BMW 750Li lease here in San Diego. Looking for rock-bottom gross cap and would like to shoot for 2% over invoice. Credit score 750, annual gross greater than $200K, currently leasing 2005 325i, will need at least 15K/year,and will put down deposit (2500-5000) as needed. Goal is to spend no more than $1,000 monthly. What are my chances ... Read More...
Re: Used BMW 750i Luxury - Please Help [blckislandguy]
hmm. i did not think about it from that perspective.. ie. that the cars have been dealer maintained.. some times they say that leased cars are not taken care of properly, but this wont be the case for BMW.. and yes, I agree a new 5 series. cost like 50s. why settle for that, if u can get a 7 series. for 35K.. look on EBAY, I see 92 2006 750 cars listed... some of them in the ... Re: Used BMW 750i Luxury - Please Help [blckislandguy]
Yes, I also thought of that. ie try to buy a late 2006 model. but you see. the 81 cars or so you see on EBAY. ie. nationwide. the exodus of 750 2006 models which have come up. they are mostly. lease returns. and I have browsed thru most of them. they all are put into service july-Aug.2005 time frame. Hence if we want a jan -apr 2006 model. it will have to be from a private party ... Read More...
Used BMW 750i Luxury - Please Help
I'm thinking about buying a 2006 used 750i Luxury--not sure what the "Luxury" entails within the car. My concern is that it's at a BMW dealer but it's NOT certified. The dealership is closed right now so I can't contact them to find out why it's not certified. They have other cars there that are certified. I looked the car up on Carfax and it's had one owner in GA which ... Read More...

Re: '03 745 Transmission bump when stopping [papsephus]
Sounds like a delayed and harsh downshift into 1st gear. Maybe electronic problem? They should be at least reading the trouble codes. Re: New M3 V8 weighs 33lbs less than outgoing I-6 [brightness04]
You may want to take a closer look at the 2006 annual report in that link, not just the management prepared headlines. No I did not even have the priviledge of reading the 2006 BMW headlines this morning. I didn't even know the 06 results were out until today. LOL Brightness is this the basis of your doom and gloom prophecy for BMW? Cash flow is down 13 percent? Cash ... Read More...
Re: Hpowders [anthonyp]
I know that it's hard to tell from a photo, Tony, but one of the 2008 550 interior shots unfortunately looks like more of the tired "same old, same old." In the brochure, BMW admits that it would be hard to tell the current 550i from the 2008 version. I guess BMW is satisfied to rest on their considerable performance laurels which had me hooked since 1993 despite their ... Read More...

Re: 745i vs S500 vs CLS500 [eric312]
Here you go. I can give you my own personal buyer's guide... 745i- Pros: well-built, best-in-class handling, controversial styling Cons: anti-ergonomic controls (not just iDrive- check the seat controls), not the most powerful big sedan out there, controversial styling S500- Pros: elegant inside and out, good torque, prestige Cons: everyone has one, ... Re: Wow! [drfill]
Didn't know BMW was having this much trouble moving the metal! There was definitely change in the wind, in the last couple years, first with the 7 and 5, then even the 3 starting last year. Cars that used to command nearly full MSRP became heavily discounted and subsidized. I have been repeatedly pointing out the unusual lease subsidies that have been happening, ... Read More...
