CPO Lease
Written by: random987 on Mar 1, 2008 2:40:35 PM
According to BMW's web page BMW is also extending its special lease offers on select 2006 Certified Pre-Owned vehicles. Does anyone know what the lease deals are for the 2006 650 convertible?

BMW 650i convertible - Lease Question
Written by: marlasw on Jan 27, 2007 9:06:46 PM
Car_man, Help. I'm trying to determine if the lease deal I'm being offered is decent. Am looking at a 2006 650i convertible with 2600 miles. Am being offered a lease factor of .00407 (approx. 9.77%?)by the dealership. Our tax rate is 8.25% where I live and car sales price is $79K. They want $6980 down. Lease would be 36 months w/ 18,000 miles/year, resulting in $1661.27/month. Does this seem like a ... Read More

You're welcome, knottyhottie. If there is a huge difference between the selling price that you can negotiate on a 2006 model and the price that this dealer is willing to sell a 2007 model for it might be worth your while to lease a leftover '06 model. I would be happy to calculate sample lease payments on both a 2006 model and a 2007 model to show you what the difference ... Read More

Hi Car_Man, Thanks for the response. I talked to the manager again and he said that I should get the 2006 model b/c they are trying to get rid of it and I can negotiate a better selling price. He said that with the 2007, I wouldn't be able to negotiate much since it would be newly released and they never go under msrp. I know that the 07 will have ... Read More

Hello mpdreamer. BMW is not currently providing any sort of lease money factor support on the BMW 6-Series. As a result, if you were to lease one through BMW Financial Services right now, you would have to use its standard lease money factor. BMW FS' standard money factor varies by region, but the factor that you were quoted is in the right ballpark. I would be happy to give you an ... Read More

Hi knottyhottie. When vehicles do not have any sort of lease money factor support, like the BMW 6-Series right now, it is often best to lease the brand new model, i.e. the 2007 650 Coupe, instead of a leftover model. As you were told, the 2007 650 will have higher residual values and assuming that you can negotiate a selling price that is fairly close to the price that you would ... Read More

Hi there, I was wondering if it was better for me to wait for the 2007 650 coupe to come out in November rather than leasing a 2006 right now? I was told conflicting advice from 2 different sales people. A sales person told me to wait for the 2007 release as it would have a higher residual value. The manager at another dealership told me that I would get a ... Read More

Hi umolle. It looks to me as though the lease that you were quoted for this car is not being run through BMW Financial Services. Not only is BMW FS' money factor for this car higher than the one that you were quoted, .00310 versus .00260, but I do not believe that BMW is currently offering 39 month leases on this model.
