Re: 2006 BMW 5 lease [goody59]

add the 09 maxima sv with premium package to your list and check it out. It's a boutique with stones on wheels. Great deals too. there are 10 certified 5 series 06 on ebay from 30-35k. 20-45k miles. the maxima sv lists out at 37 but you can get them here for 1-2k under invoice or 32-33. They also have a sport package with firmer handling. Read More...

2006 BMW 5 lease

If you wanted to lease a CPO 2006 5 Series Sedan (for arguments sake, one with a $50,000 MSRP), what would it cost? According to this forum in the fall of 2005, the residual would be 59-60% at this point. If I wanted a 3yr/36k lease, what would I be looking at? How much residual would there be for years 4-6? With the current market, aren't used cars worth even less they ... Read More...

Re: Considering CPO 2006 BMW 530i or 530xi [cecilt1]

I bought 2006 used 530 (no sport) and the vehicle does not have run-flat tires. I understand some do, particularly with sport option. I would not buy a vehicle with runflats -they're expensive to replace and ride rough. I find the i-drive to be no big deal. It's quite intuitive to use, though pretty tedious. Other systems like the audi are better, but I would not ... Read More...

Re: Considering CPO 2006 BMW 530i or 530xi [ponytrekker]

Yea, the SA did a voice command and of course it did something completely different. I don't know, the BMW is such a great driving car but this may keep me from buying one. Looking forward to others feedback. Thanks Read More...

Re: Considering CPO 2006 BMW 530i or 530xi [cecilt1]

Takes a few minutes to figure out the basics. Here's a tip my SA gave me: Pushl the controller forward for the phone--think you're making a call out of the vehicle. Pull it back for Radio -- radio signals come in. Right for navigation -- your passenger/copilot is the navigator Left -- you for climate control. In addition, a great deal of the functions are triggered ... Read More...

Considering CPO 2006 BMW 530i or 530xi

AFter ruling out the 335i b/c of run flats I am leaning toward a CPO 2006 530i or 530xi with premium, sport (maybe) cold weather, comfort access, and nav. My main concern are do run flats come in the 2006 530 series whether it be 530i or 530xi. I would consider sport on either. I have had sport on both 3 series I had previously and don't mind the firmer handling. Secondly, ... Read More...

Re: 530xi 2006-Lease End Purchase? [bceagle1]

I also have a 530xi with 18.5K miles coming off lease in March. BMW Financial services said I would have to pay the residual value of about $38K. That the residual price was not negotiable. How did you get them to do that? Read More...

Re: 2008 535XiT Wagon [jiholl5333]

jiholl, sounds like a pretty good deal. Problem with the 2008 model BMW leases right now is the residual is not too great (although not terrible, and $6K under sticker certainly makes up for a lot). By comparison, my current 2006 MB E350 which was about a $57K car costs me $598/month plus tax (39 months 10000 miles no cap reduction). Local SoCal dealer made me the ... Read More...

BMW 528xi vs. Audi A6 Q vs. Lexus GS 350 AWD

Re: GS any time. [lazer]

I drive a BMW 5 series RWD and a GS AWD. I agree the Lexus feels more Luxurious however I am not 100% happy as they improved the road feedback trying to make it more sporty. Making the tires noisy for a Lexus.A lot of buyers might like the feedback and new sporty GS. I did not expect it to be all in one.I feel It falls between being Sporty and luxury. I would have still preferred ... Read More...

Re: 530xi 2006-Lease End Purchase? [daxxie]

I was with you all the way until the last sentence. I am not aware the dealer has to buy the car BMW. Right now it is titled to BMW Financial. All my dealings re buying the car have been with them or their sub-contractor Financial Services Remarketing, Inc. I have had no conversations with the dealer about this because I learned if they are in the middle then they buy ... Read More...
