You are reading too much into those statistics. Those tests are done in a controlled environment with a controlled setup (31 mph, etc.). Life is random. If an SUV hits you from the side going... say 45 mph, you are probably going to be in trouble no matter what car you are driving. I am looking at a 2008 535xi. I emailed BMW about thier re-design timetable because I intensely dislike buying a new car and then it is re-designed the very next year!! Yes, VERY often wrong, but NEVER uncertain these days! :surprise: I got the brochure on the new CTS. Woo woo!
