Prob Rain in my 5 Need HELP Asap

As I can confirm by a message posted by a member in 2005, I am not the first. I am desperate! My 2003 525 has had rain leaking into the car into the back on the passenger side and has caused what I am told is $6000 in electrical damage. OK-my 2003 525 is at a shop with extensive water damage to the electrical due to rain water seeping into the car somehow and coming up under the back passenger floor. What was your recourse, did BMW pay to repair? I have owned so many Bimmers and never used my garages and never had this happen. PLEASE HELP ME! I NEED INFO Read More...

I seem to have the same issue with the drain current. I get about 2.4 amps drain current which is draining the battery. For mine problem, i unhooked the harness to the amplifier and the current dropped to 0.6A. Were you able to fix the problem? Read More...

Like you, I went through this for my beautiful '03 530SP as it rolled off of CPO warranty in 1/09. I now have 66k miles and echo the cooling system comments (water pump, radiator). The '03 has an improved design for the hose fittings on the radiator and is not as susceptible to cracks as earlier e39's. Still, my top-drawer independent BMW Tech tells me that I need to ... I have a 2007 530xi 6 speed manual purchased 10/2007 - 30,000 miles. Second time in for the ticking noise - sounds like a sewing machine. They bled the lifters last time and got rid of the noise for a few months. Now, they are changing the cylinder head after approval from BMW. Sounds like a design issue. I drove a 2003 BMW 530 for 2 years. Put $45K miles on it in that time. Great car and my first BMW. Decided that the high mileage was going to cause me to be out of warranty in short order and since my commute changed, decided to instead get a Lexus 330. Nice car, but like a sofa. I had the same problem,disconnect the fuse for the radio amplifier in the trunk . I think the radio amplifier is powered with a relay. I don;t have the problem anymore, just no radio. I replaced the amplifier,had the same problem. I have heard that there is a problem with the radio drawing excessive current when the ignition is off.Normal current draw should be ... Read More...

2003 5 series passenger seat is rarely used. One side of seat will not raise nor recline. BMW service informed me that motor cable is stretched, they have repaired as many as 50. A 5hr job plus parts. reluctant to have repaired they came back with 3hr plus parts. Has anyone had this seat problem? Read More...
